    Suggestions

    1. More Space in Glam Dressers with all the jobs and glams coming its really hard to store them all. Ideally would love one dresser for each job.
    2. More glam plates.... with so many jobs we need heaps of glam plates ideally the same idea as above with job glam plates ( still need more plates for each type tho ie. Maybe 30+)
    3. More Inventory Space (happy to pay)
4.Id love a tooltip where if u hover a item it says you have collected it such as Minions, Armor, Rolls Etc.

When asked about glamour dresser space, they recently said that they're gonna announce on one of the next liveletters that they're adding quite a bunch of stuff. People are assuming that glamour dresser will get expanded, or something else will happen (still praying for a glamour system like WoW's transmog system).

Square Enix says this is impossible to implement. A Dalamud mod does literally that.

You're talking about a PC only mod that is 100% client side, is edited on that client and only displays information for that one player using that specific client.

Anything that SE would implement would require game server to client communication, which would introduce large amounts of lag that could end up game breaking as the servers would be forced to be individually tracking and communicating that information for thousand of characters per world simultaneously.

Could SE introduce such a feature that is client side only? I don't know. That depends on how PS4/PS5 works and what they allow to be stored/modified client side without server communication.

Some people have this really bad habit of assuming only PC users play this game so if it can be done on a PC is automatically possible for everyone. If it's not going to work on PS4/PS5, they're not going to introduce only for PC to give PC players an advantage.

    Yeah. And big surprise:
That's literally what is happening already. All those things already do server to client communication. That's how these mods work, because that's literally where they get their data from. I've talked to the devs of those mods and he explained how his plugin knows which fish you have already caught:

As I said, this server client communication is literally already happening and as it seems it doesn't cause any lag whatsoever. The same counts for the crafting log, the gathering log, your obtained orchestrion, your minions and your mounts. All that data is already there, it is always downloaded on login, and all those plugins do is to sniff out the data from UiState to feed their plugin.

It is already there, and it is already happening. That's how the code of the Crafting, Gathering and Fishing log already work. Just need to expand that to tooltips. And the PS4/PS5 client isn't that wildly different. It is literally the same code, just compiled for a different platform.

The modding community already has a pretty big understanding of how the game works, how it is coded, etc. The only thing that is shrouded in mystery so far is the server side stuff like boss mechanics, desynthesis info, damage calculations, etc., but almost everything that is client side is pretty well documented and unraveled, and mods use what SE is already offering to piggyback on that.

Because it's only happening between the clients of those few players using those mods and the servers.

Now extend that communication between every player client and the game servers.

No, it is not. It's happening with every single player character already. That's what I've just explained. The literal crafting, gathering and fishing log that is in the game, both in PC and PS4 versions do exactly that.

What this mod does is to copy the data that is already sent from the server to the client of every single player into its little, lightweight UI frame. It's not just those using that mod. Everyone has that bitfield in his client. It is a native FFXIV script in the game that is used when you open the crafting log or the minion guide and a few more things. That's how the game knows what minions to display when you open the minion guide, without having load times like calling a retainer or the wall at the start when entering a duty, even though no one is in cutscene anymore.

If it was just the people using that mod, Square Enix would actively go against them, which is something they already did to other stuff before. For example the precursor of the Universalis Market website that gives statistics about the Market Board on every server, which was ffxivmb, was actively pursued by Square Enix, because it was using 4 characters to scan the marketboard twice per day, which SE noticed that it was causing additional traffic, even though it was just 4 characters doing that. The Good Memory plugin on the other hand has over 90k downloads, which means that at least several thousand players are using it. If all of these few thousand players were causing additional traffic with the Square Enix servers you can bet your popoto backside that SE would immediately go against those specific plugins and people would be tanking bans all over the place for using that. If there is anything that Square Enix doesn't tolerate besides gil-selling bots spamming people and people being extremely rude in-game, it would be things that mess with their server traffic, requesting more data than usual.
