Change Sages Icarus please

I find it great that this one is player targeted. This is a great ability to catch up to the group if they're running past you after you had to do some GCD heal or stopped to loot or whatever. It's also very handy for making sure you do a mechanic right if you can "ride somebody else's movement". Timed and used right this is very handy.

If anything the other healers need an Icarus dash equivalent. It's a nice QoL for the role imo. Would love for my SCH to have a gap closer the way SMN does XD, can just give the healers their own animations of Icarus Dash. I'm not holding my breath for this to occur though, as nice as I would think it would be.

We've established before this person is a troll but im seeing people who don't use controller suggesting macros and stuff.. let me just say with controller you don't need a macro.. simply pressing up or down on the D-pad will scroll threw party member where as left and right will do everything infront of you party and enemy

As someone who played a lot of DNC last expansion, I really much prefer En Avant's target-less dash. Why? Cause it's fun. No other reason :|
Haven't had issues using Icarus. Pretty useful for catching up to the tank during certain pulls if he gets a bit far ahead... It's just not quite as satisfying to use as I would like it to be. I'd like it if it had either another charge, or a reduced cooldown.

The same reason BLM needs a target for Aetherial Manipulation. There is a skill requirement in using it.

It's so annoying to have to click someone just to dash to them. It would be nice if it were as useful as other jobs dashes, because this one just sucks. It's especially annoying for PS5 players who do not want to play on a keyboard. I don't care if you think its better. Its just not my playstyle, and moves like this don't help. They need to remove the need to click on another player, and maybe give it an extra charge. It would go a long way to helping dodge things while we are healing and doing damage. I keep trying to get used to Icarus, but out of all of the Sage abilities, I just can't. Its not fun this way. I usually just toggle my run ability in its place instead.

Is this something I'm too Black Mage to understand?

icarus is fine, the issue is in your inability to use it properly, if at all.
