    Other Jobs/Classes

There are other jobs out there that we've seen. Here's what I remember off the top of my head of what we've seen but can't play at the moment, if ever.

    Musketeer - Limsa Lominsa
    Geomancer - Hingashi
    Fusilier - Dalmasca
    Beastmaster - Landis?
    Apothecary - The First
    Time Mage - Ancient Allag

    And some pseudo-jobs that the Scions use;
Sorceress - Likely combining Thamturgy and Conjury
Academician - The Healing upgrade to Arcanist without the Scholar Fairy
Lithomancer - Upgraded Arcanist with DPS focus.

The latter two basically lore-friendly versions that NPCs could use as both Scholar and Summoner are mostly defunct practices. In fact, I don't think there are any Scholars and only three summoner NPCs.

I feel like there are more, but I can't think of them now. Does anyone else know what other jobs are out there in the Lore?

There are also the mage-knights of the city of Mannatheihwo in Landis.

Geomancy was invented in Doma but there are adherents in Hingashi. Onmyojutsu was invented in Hingashi but there are onmyoji in Doma. Both Ala Mhigo and Landis have beastmasters.

People have always been able to cast magic, but that doesn't specifically make them a thaumaturge just because they can cast "fire". Thaumaturgy is a specific practice native to Ul'dah, which is why when Y'shtola takes up those spells she's a "sorceress". It gets even muddier with some of the disciplines that intersect with each other. Geomancy is described in the EE as having much in common with Gridanian conjury with some aspects of Sharlayan astrology. Onmyoji utilize a balance of fire and ice, astral and umbral, with interspersed lightning spells just like thaumaturges from Ul'dah, but they also summon creations like Lominsan/Southern Seas arcanists.

But pretty much everyone we meet in the game outside of Eorzea and even a lot inside of Eorzea will be classes/jobs that we don't have access to. Just because someone carries a sword doesn't make them a "gladiator", for example.

The generic term for job/class in-universe is technically "Discipline", iirc.

    A few more that we've seen/heard of:
Oneiromancer, as per Noah, so that's a practice from ancient Allag, though that is probably less a combat job than a discipline of the hand.
Berserker, as per The Heroes' Gauntlet, from some scattered shard of Hydaelyn. It has an overlap with Warriors in style.
Necromancer, as per Palace of the Dead and The Heroes' Gauntlet, both of which come from worlds other than the Source.
Shugenja, i.e. practitioner of Shugendo, the "ascetic arts", as per Gosetsu in the Ranged DPS role quests for Endwalker. Acts like Conjury. These come from... somewhere in the Far East, encountered during Gosetsu's pilgrimage.

1.0 had a few other classes that were never implemented, but what areas were connected to them is a good question:

Fencer - was referenced within 1.0's files as a weapon style, but nothing further was mentioned. Probably whatever had been planned for this class was recycled for RDM, including lore (my theory is it probably had some connection to Ul'dah/Sil'dih, but that's just my musings so don't take that as lore).
Mystic - like Fencer, Mysticism was referenced as a Discipline of Magic in 1.0's game files but nothing was stated in game about it lore wise. Possibly could be like Astromancy and thus like AST.
Shepherd - unlike the two above, this Disciple of the Land actually was further along and was Ishgardian (and even had a class logo - a pair of antlers - and a class abbreviation - 'SHP'. It had a locked and empty Guildhall in pre-Calamity Falcon's Nest but no NPCs were ever seen using this class as far I knew. The rebuilt Falcon's Nest in any event did not include the SHP's Guildhall, so I think we can consider this class abandoned.

We discuss some job-related questions like what makes a job a job and what makes two jobs the same job in Thread: Are jobs bound by lore?.

I hope we stop getting new jobs and the team instead uses more focus on Jobs we have already.

I don't. A lot of jobs are starting to suffer from playstyle overlap with zero customization. Bards and Rangers fighting each other every patch, Summoner and Warlocks starting flame wars, Monks fighting Monks for positionals.
Only way to solve it is new classes or class customization, SE has only been willing to do one of these so far.
