Having played all the MSQs, Endwalker was easily the favorite of the bunch for herself. It really brought her character full circle from all that she had done up till that point. Not only that, but it especially dug into who she is. It was like a love letter to all she had experienced, and even what had been lost to her of her unknown past. It was great for all the other characters too, especially Zenos whom was hurt by Stormblood's rough pacing. The ending was spot on too; what a great way to end it. 10/10, easily one of her favorite gaming experiences due to those reasons and more. If she absolutely had to nitpick, she was a bit upset Yotsuyu didn't make any sort of appearance since her story really touched her, probably more than any other, and she was even referenced in a Japanese promotional commercial. Perhaps it's just that she moved on at this point, but it would have been nice if they could have written her in, maybe showing that in death she found her redemption (even though, if she's being honest, would have really loved to have saved her and see her redemption play out in life, like, come on, the WoL could have easily intercepted those bullets...was kind of a forced death). Really, they have under utilized Yotsuyu. Like, why not have her outfit(s) and hair in the online store? Square is just sitting on a huge pile of money by not putting it out there. But, alas, she digresses...
I'm sorry but I've read this three times and I have to ask who are you talking about? I don't know who "she" or "her" are supposed to be referring to, not to mention intercepting bullets??? What?? Why would we have done this?? Are you referring to yourself in third person?Having played all the MSQs, Endwalker was easily the favorite of the bunch for herself. Otherwise, thanks for your input?
One of the Tales from the Shadows sidestories confirms that the Exarch's timeline was indeed split off into its own reality...though I don't even want to think about the deeper specifics of how it exists despite the fact the causal loop would've broken by our death. If what the ironworks and G'raha did to make ShB possible actually destroyed that AU then I agree, it's not ok. I don't know if it did destroy that AU. G'raha and the Crystal tower are still here. By all evidence before me I can only conclude that the other AU still exists. But in the event it was destroyed, then yeah, bad.

First of all, the other seven shards did not merge with us during our current lifetime. Calamities were thousands of years apart.I'm pretty sure that's not true. I'm pretty sure rejoining means the consciousness of the shard soul gets dissolved leaving only the source version's ego. This would explain why we never hear the voices of the 7 people rejoined with us (the 7th during our lifetime), they don't exist anymore, just the aether of their/our soul merged back with us. Ardbert's silence since 5.3 suggests he's probably ceased to exist by now.
So yeah it's worse than genocide it's the total cessation of existence for everyone on the rejoined shard.
But maybe I'm putting more thought into this than the writer's did. A shame if it's true, Ardbert could've been kept around as a recurring character that only we can see/hear and talk to, occassionally manifesting and talking to us.
Secondly, it wouldn't make sense for Ardbert to keep "talking to me" if he is now a part of me. We're not separate entities anymore. I am neither the original WoL nor am I Ardbert. I am whatever product came out of the fusion of WoL and Ardbert. Of course, the WoL's personality overpowers Ardbert's because the WoL was already the amalgamation of 7 shards rejoined while Ardbert is only one shard.
I feel like Ardbert's consciousness simply took some time to fade away completely after he merged with us, akin to how those who've passed into the Lifestream hold onto their memories temporarily before they've been completely cleansed and rendered a blank slate fit to be reborn.
Also, everyone's character would've been alive during the seventh umbral calamity and I find a touch strange that there's no mention of people feeling different or otherwise sensing some manner of change in its aftermath. You'd think an overall increase in the world's aetherial density would be detectable and a potential cause for concern for some.

I quite like it when handsome men are inside my character, so I hope we get another Ardbert situation soon.
I don't want to imagine what happens when somebody disagrees with you at work. The lengths and reaches you go through to not acknowledge that people who have repeatedly stated to have interpreted gaps in a video game's lore differently from how you interpreted them is almost impressive.
Yes, she was talking in the third person. It's not difficult to follow.
Why would we? Why wouldn't we? Yotsuyu had an abusive upbringing that lead her to the mental state where she did her misactions, which were heavily manipulated by the Empire in the first place. Going through the second stage of her arc, it's clear to see a part of her was capable and wanting of something more, but before that could be realized, her slimy brother again took advantage of her. As the WoL, through the echo, we were aware of her backstory as well as what we witnessed first hand. It would make sense to block her brother's attack with that being so; we even see the WoL tighten their fist clenched in anger. If Yotsuyu didn't kill her brother, we would have is what was implied. It would be more than sensible to have defended her from the start with that being so. Thanks for the input? Um, who are you again? This is a pretty open thread. It isn't just directed to you. Didn't even know you were a person who existed before you went out of your way to reply to her post. Lol.
