What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

You're never going to escape the Ancients or the Allagans. I am sorry to say this.

Obviously I hope DT doesn't build up a plot with a new threat that is entirely based around either, but it shouldn't be surprising if we run into references or details recalling either group.

The complaints about further lore or story details involving the ancients are essentially the equivalent of being an archeologist and being upset you've dug up bones.

yes SE has really locked themselves into the *ancients are all of the technology ever created* speel, i also feel that since basically only the goblins doing anything with technology also dug them into a corner.
