



Turns out if you keep the plot vague enough, you can get to an ending and make it seem like that was the plan all along!The truth is that the writers had no idea where the plot was going and were writing it as they were going along. There was no master plan or moral ambiguity beyond just keeping some things vague for later. Elidibus was still 100% for Calamities and killing everyone, he was just nicer about it than the others.
