The antagonist isn't always centered around the protagonist*, but regardless I'll concede the definition that's more appropriate for Venat is an anti-villain. However, I'm not sure how many people are familiar with that term as opposed to antagonist which is the main reason I use it.

* I also think it's dicey in this case when the protagonist exists as a result of her destroying their original self and grooming their reincarnation to be her champion. The WoL is less a protagonist than a tool.

I'm not going to debate her 'love' because if this is how she treats people she loves I'd be scared to see how she treats those she hates.
