Because X-2 exists and and took a hard left from the mood of FFX. Sad thing is that I like the gameplay mechanics of X-2 but the story isn't very good and the soundtrack has a few good tracks but is mostly forgettable. Vegnagun is a pretty cool sounding name for a super weapon though.
