You should probably go and do the Elpis side quests and Pandaemonium if you truly believe that the Ancients never had any issues in which they had to deal with. It's also worth noting that, as per the recent lore focused live letter linked earlier in the thread, the Ancients being on a trajectory to the equivalent of the Plenty was very much Venat's belief rather than a certainty. Though as we know, she wasn't so concerned as to actually bother expressing her fears and instead decided to simply murder every last man, woman and child amongst her own species.

At this point, though, certain posters give me the impression of being the type of individual to look at a smiling family with a big house only to fantasise about bad things happening to them on the basis that they aren't suffering exactly like 'real people' are. (Which in itself has always been a silly strawman, since being 'well off' doesn't equal a lack of suffering and problem's in one's life but...I digress).
