What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

At least we got a cool boss fight at the end with an epic theme. Small victories! But...yeah, I was pretty bummed when they said that the story revolving around Bozja/Dalmasca was just done. Not cool, SE.

I was similarly underwhelmed by them deciding to make the second legion get wiped out off-screen as per the role quest finale, particularly when they were noted as being under the jurisdiction of house Darnus.

I suppose it's possible there might still be some stragglers that will eventually play into some manner of story involving Corvos, but I can only hope.

came here to say that EW was a pretty disappointing story. the final villain was a little girl who was a failed science experiment? i feel like square enix couldve done a lot more with this. at first i thought it was an alien race who attacked the ancients because i thought meteion was being controlled by something else. but nope. just a really sad really powerful child. lame imo.

Matsuno's stated reasons for the Ivalice series getting dropped was incredibly upsetting to read, to be honest. I enjoyed the storytelling in the raid series and Bozja quite a lot, even with its issues, so the lack of any real continuation or proper conclusion in the near future stings.

Love how the OP stresses there's no one right answer (even the game itself states this, funnily enough) and it's okay to disagree with the narrative/presentation of the writers, only for a bunch of self-help gurus/life coaches to come in and bloviate about how the developers intended THIS and that you are simply not seeing it the correct way!

It's back in December, though I doubt any of them changed their stances. Certainly, I haven't, but a lot of the posters here have helped me to grasp the whys of the thoughts and feelings that were jumbled in my head before.

What storytelling? There was no story. Ivalice was a giant exposition dump masquerading as a story, a confusing and barely comprehensible exposition dump at that.

Thank you for the link. Honestly I had a hard time understanding what I was not exactly understanding about endwalker n why it was "lackluster" or "controversial" n this did shed some light on it.
