I'd ask the same question in reverse: Healers and tanks, how do you do it? I've avoided queueing on content as a healer and tank before because I'd need to be ready to go right now.

I just watch youtube or netfix while in Que if wait is too long I'll come back to it later.

Queue up when you feel like it instead of planning in advance ~_^

Well, only queue when you're ready to do content. I'm confident enough in the fact that when I queue tank, I'll get it in under a minute, maybe under two or three as a healer.

Even then, you do get three strikes when you're not ready to do content, just in case the queue locks you out of leaving the inn and you forgot to buy food.

Having breaks from the game or any game is a good thing. The only lengthy queues are leveling and MSQ for DPS, most everything else is 5 mins or less.

Leveling - particularly at the lower levels - tends to be longer for DPS too. Even moreso if you queue off peak.

Ever since I've started playing exclusively healers and tanks (I'm a healer and tank kind of guy, I like healing and I like tanking even outside of MMOs) I've become drunk on the 30 second queue times.

Yet, when I decided it's time to start levelling RDM or BRD again, I was hit with a 17 minute queue and all my attention span went soaring out the window.

People who play DPS, how do you do it? How do you do the queue every time?

Mostly group with my boyfriend or other fc mates so there is normally a tank or healer. Other then that i just sit a stare at the screen. Occassionally i might pull something else up but even when i was solo i very rarely had to wait more then 7-12 minutes

You don't use the public PF as a DPS. Create a private team or use GC/Trusts. There's also no real reason why anyone should subject themselves to MSQ roulette. There are so many better alternatives than to destroy your mental well being.

Literally anything else.

People waiting on queue should be people who literally can't do anything else, either because they don't have the means or they refuse to budge their attention elsewhere.
