Yoshi-P Statement on Player Feedback

You guys do realize the target group that Yoship is referring to are those Japanese extreme players who mailed knife blade as threat right?
These guys are the worst and can even go as far as burning down an anime studio.
These are the group that constantly making verbal threat and stalking.
He is not referring to the snowflakes who always using subscription as threat, those are just sheeps.
He is talking about the real wolves here.

That’s horrible. I can imagine if things like that have happened that the developers are unnerved and upset.

But even if it were about the more ‘normal’ (unfortunately) rather abusive feedback, I’d get it. I’ve never understood the point of it either, it’s not hard to criticise in a friendly or even just respectful manner. And with games, if you’re exasperated because of not feeling heard after trying to address something for years, it’s better to take a step back and contemplate whether you can live with it the way it is, or feel better about unsubbing (temporarily). I’d never judge the frustration or disappointment over this, and I get that that can make someone a bit more heated. But personal attacks, contempt, bitterness won’t fix it and they just make you feel like crap. Better to leave your feedback in a respectful manner so that someone may actually feel compelled to read it, and go do something which does give you positive vibes imho.

Actually, it's my RIGHT to say mean things to people I can't see because if I don't have to see them frown once I say it then I am absolved of all guilt! Furthermore, it is NOT my job to provide ideas. This is THEIR game. HELLOOOO! Make it perfect for me. I shouldnt have to tell you how, you're supposed to know. I've given you 10bucks a month for years now, are you telling me you havent even looked up my horoscope once?? No I've never worked with computers, but you can't tell me that human error is still a thing. Computers don't just crash, they don't just fail sometimes. Coding isnt hard-it's mindless. I don't do it but I'm sure about that. Everything that goes wrong is entirely the devs fault and this is why they deserve all the hate they get if not more. Don't like it? Don't work for square and make updates take even longer because their turnover rate is so high because their employees cant take the constant negativity like most Americans in the customer service field are doing right now. They should have prepared for all of this 10 years ago at launch. Before launch. Yoshi should have prepared for this as soon as he was born-what was he doing suckling on milk?!? That wasnt an infant, it was a grown man all along!!

And anyways, Japanese people have no idea what we're saying. Yes, English is used almost every day in their lives via their own media + international entertainment and hey even in casual slang-but they can't actually know what any of that means. Business executives?!? Why would they know other languages, that makes 0 sense. I'm not xenophobic I'm just saying the likelyhood of a non-American knowing english-(proceeds
to imply the most awful thing imaginable). All I'm saying is that this game should have catered to me better, and if they can't even do that then well...they better be ready for my fightin words. Because as we all know, I could have made this entire game in my sleep. Sigh, so glad I'm amongst so many who think just like me.

I cant speak for the japanese forums since i dont understand moon runes, but on the matter of the English Forums, i think if they complain about those being too spicy, they should give those posts some more thought. There are MANY Threads which are on constant repeat, begging for proper changes for better Healer and Tank Gameplay for years, not some measly first world problems of DPS not doing the desired amount of DPS.

It would be unreasonable to think that a person who posts every day in specific threads for many Years which might even be arround since heavensward up to present day, to NOT be angry in the slightest. Despite its Success, FFXIV still has a good amount of aspects and content that is being neglected for the sake of something else and that is fact.

You are bashing things off feelings and not facts. Show me proof the devs are literally lazy as you claimed! And bozja and eureka are literally content we didn't have before. It's content. It may not be what you WANT but that doesn't mean it's not content.

We already had zones and fates. There are 6 additional zones every expansion that contain fates. We already had multiple fate grinds with the relic weapons quest. So tell me how it was content we did not have before? Critical engagements were no different than a boss fate you got teleported to. Adding additional zones with fates and a tacked on leveling system in the zone is the lazy crap Blizzard does and I am not sure if you have recently seen whats happened with there game recently but its failing pretty bad. You keep saying these are feelings but this is fact that this sort of content already existed doctored to make it look new.

Back to why I called the dev team lazy I have already explained this in a previous post. I could go even further and state that Yoshi P is potentially a liar as he said he and the devs also play the game and clear the savage content. If that were true then they would not rely so much on feedback from the Japanese forums as they would experienced the problems players face first hand. The only way I can see this being true is if they are only playing together on a private test server, which again I seriously doubt. You have to take what the devs say at face value actions speak louder than words. At the end of the day they are trying to promote the game and sell the game. You can quote Yoshi P saying he plays the game all yall want, but where is the evidence of him and his dev team playing the game cause it is not in the class design that is for sure.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the transparency the dev team has with the community and I think they do great work with the expansion releases. How ever that does not change that the dev team appears lazy with the content lately, as well as class design.

And to everyone that says I am what Yoshi P is talking about. If you think someone saying you are lazy is mean it isn't, it is actual feedback. If an employer states you are lazy it means that you are under performing compared to others. Some of this community has got to get it together and stop sticking up for everything about this game so hard. And now with this statement any negative feedback is going to get the band of Yoshi P worshippers up in arms to not be mean to the devs.
