Bump, I still really want a leve system like this.....

I would like to see this as well...It would help this game have somewhat of a direction, which it currently doesn't. Also would like this to be more incentive for parties. Not enough of that outside behest (which is pretty boring)
Fantastic idea's. I have always liked moving from area to area to progress in any game. The repetitive leve runs are painfully boring. If I could attain rank 10 by completing quest arc's at the 3 started camps, then rank 20 by completing the arc's at the corosponding camps, I would be in heaven. It would merge ranking up with content, OMG what a crazy idea! Please SE get on this.

The bump is fully deserved. Anything that breaks the endless, endless, endless brainless repetition of guildleves deserves to be adorned with golden letters. I wonder why SE managed to *not* come up with those ideas.

Story/camp arcs would really open up leves. A simple adjustment to allow you to carry more then eight leves would be enough. (Meaning that you can pick up 8 from the counters, but by doing well and completing the leve you would open up new leves that are only available by completing the previous leve.
Just like in your example, you get tier 2 after completing tier 1, but you couldn't pick up T2, 3, etc unless you got it for completing the previous tier.
Thus you could get more then 8 leves, by completing the previous leves and doing well on them.![]()

Why must everything be repeatable? If they write a good story I'd rather have it be presented well and only once instead of as a irrelevant wall of text that has nothing to do with your gameplay.


well with 3 R1, 3 R10, 3R20, 6 R30 and 6 R40 camps you could go through each main arc (And the mini arcs) once and be pretty far along on your journey.... with very little need for repeat unless you were trying for a particular item....




I posted this in another thread (which linked this one). I feel it needs saying here too...
Before the game was released, I had first envisioned that the leve system would be something more like this. That they would work in tandem with traditional quest hubs, not just be over-glorified WoW dailies.
This would help foster progression, lore, content, and give us more goals than to just level for the sake of leveling in a repetitive environment. It's a brilliant suggestion, IMO.
I think that leves themselves, the way they are implemented now, are a very lackluster leveling backbone. They are horribly repetitive. I would love to see this kind of enhancement.
I don't see leves ever being removed as SE likes the idea. But why couldn't they go through a reinvention? It's not like we aren't already planning a redo on the rest of the game (combat system, classes/jobs, and map).
