I'm not interested in partaking in the pity party of it all, so I don't really care to comment on the boo hoos about head stuff, but I just gotta ask ... what is this?
Why do you think the game's "quality" is getting worse?

We just had an amazing 6.0 story.

Debatable, I personally didn't like it and felt it was a huge step down compared to ShB and HW

good, but it's a story-focused game and it should be expected

finally getting into this world's lore with its own 24 man raid series diving into it

They're doing all this and more as they also work on a multi-step graphics update for our characters and their world ... so how are we in "worse" land?

let's see:
ever since sb, the amount of normal content has decreased with each expac
ew's music was, aside from a few good songs, really uninspiring and relied on it's one leitmotif even more so than shadowbringers
job balancing
no effort whatsoever in making hairs work for the limited races, even though modders already showed them how it's done and all they'd need to do is copy what they did
lack of any kind of meaningful tutorials at any point in the game
fostering an increasingly hostile community that would rather die on their passive aggressive hill than accept help and advice...
...which means that people will still do their lvl 16 rotation at lvl 90 and be none the wiser, as maybe just a handful people have given them advice, where in those handful of cases, other people in the party will defend said playstyle because 'fun', even if it is at the expensive of everyone else involved
let's go further: people pretty much deifying yoship for some reason as some kind of prophet, despite him lying multiple times, because he would never do that and only ever speaks the truth when he graces us with his presence
turning 2 expansions into 1 and cutting interesting places like garlemald short for no reason
the atrocious pacing issues EW has in comparison to the earlier ones
the even worse tonal shifts throughout the expansion
loporrits in general, even though I like them, but they were completely out of place in my eyes

Anyway, reading the above post makes me laugh. Every time I see someone say FF14 Viera should have tails, it just makes it so clear what YP should have done. Shoulda just made-up some race of rabbit women who look like taller Miqote with longer ears and 4 different Happy Bunny like tails ... cause people really just wanted "pretty bunny women". Hrothgar shoulda had Miqote heads with furry-ish faces. Both could have animal feet and limited footwear, people are far less likely to whine about limited shoes than they are to whine about hair and headgear. Simply put, if he knew he couldn't do what people were asking for, then he should have done something that stays firmly within the constraints of this game or waited until they figured out a system to add these races later. Asking people to "Please understand" means nothing when they work off emotion. Now we're stuck with the poo stain of this game in the form of 2 races that act as a reminded to not try to appease people blindly.

I won't bother deciphering this mess of a ramble, and all I'll say is: 3 years. 0 hairs. Fantasia (real money) needed to change hairs.
Things that modders have made in their free time. Things that people who get paid apparently are unable to do. For a race Yoship himself wanted in the game.
