I’m kinda intrigued what the two different designs for femHroth are. And how different they are.

I'd like if they showed them but at the same time I don't trust people with concept art anymore.
A lot of people don't seem to understand it we still have people who argue like the more monster-esque concept art of Au'Ra was '' the concept art '' and that they '' changed it ''.
There's a pretty absurd case of this in Overwatch too that caused a bunch of drama about Ashe's race, the devs showed a ton of concept art of her and in ONE of them she was dark-skinned ( ppl said black, she looked Latina to me ).
And people flipped the hell out and said that they '' turned her white/ whitewashed her ''.

Tbh if I was a game dev I probably wouldn't show people this stuff, you can't trust people with it.
Which is sad as an art enthusiast ( collect artbooks, own all of the current FFXIV ones waiting on the rest ).
Because I'd like to see it, but people don't understand the process and then get mad about it.

It would give us the much wanted Beast Face. But also give a Miqote 2.0 look that others want.
Although it begs the question...is the 2nd look a Subspecies, is it a genetic thing fro breeding....just...there would be questions. Especially if its EXCLUSIVELY a FemHroth thing

On more serious note, I sure hope we get some more news in March at least regarding femHroths. I'd be willing to be more patient about vieras if we got something about progress on femHroths.

To be honest, I am expecting something like this. As much as they spoke about how "their mass appeal isn't the point", I am all but certain we're get a Blue Miqo face option. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion so long as we get a real khajiit like face.

My hope is that we get at least 3 actual-felid heads (each one modelled after a different species of cat) and one FFX female-ronso head (which was substantially more human-like, iirc). That would mirror what the men got, and even the more humanoid face would be a callback to a prior design rather than outright "bodybuilder miqo'te."

I mean, why does exactly one face of M-Hrothgar have a freaking rhino horn? It could easily be handwaved, especially since a lot of the sapient species origins in FF14 come down to one of: "ancients and creation magic, lol"; "sundering, lol"; or "Allagans, lol."

I don't remember the furstock Swift :P (though miqo'te are already khajiit if you want to get into the ohmes territory.)

Also, yeah I know a lot of people are upset about the femroths only being on the concept art page should perk up! The concept art stage is the hardest and sometimes the longest part of designing a race. Sure hearing "we have it down to two" sounds like they haven't been working on it at all, but you'd be surprised just how many concepts go through this process. The released concept art we have of the ARR races doesn't scratch the surface on what was going on before they began modeling.

Bro, re-link the twitter if you have it. I know this artists work has been posted before, and I cant remember it or find it.
This style and their fanart of (possible looking) Female Hrothgar are just great.

Well thats obviously just a Callback/reference to the Ronso in FFX. I wish I had the ability and option to put it on ALL the faces, so I could make my ALT into a true Ronso. Alt looks and forms for the Horns would be pretty Boss to. Apparently news I heard (that might be addressed March 4th) the horn might be usable on all the faces. So thats exciting.

See, I dont want that level of Laziness here. If they put in the Effort to call this Race Hrothgar instead of just calling them Ronso (I mean on the Source where we play, and not the 1st where they are literally just Ronso by name and lol different universe), and give them their own lore & where they come from, put in that they Created The Gunbreaker style to Fight the Empire, give them their own own content which is tied to the ShB Relic, and their own Naming Convention....Id appreciate if there was anything about why Some Hrothgals would have Beast-like faces, and why some would have Human-like faces.
Males dont have this (inb4 they do rofl), why is it exclusive to the Females?
