VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

I've tried to make the new hairstyles work on male viera, but none of them come close to the original hairs male viera has in terms of quality and covering up that damn 5head. I think they'd be better off giving some female viera hair to male viera instead. For a race that's supposed to be so androgynous, you'd think they'd go for it but no.

I don't think hrothgar is going to have 5head issues because they don't have human faces so it's harder to make them look weird and off proportions, but we shall see.

I feel thats generally true w/ regards to hrothgar however the regular ponytail...idk, maybe its a face1 hroth thing but I feel its waaay too far back, like it shows to much scalp I guess so I havent touched it.
A friend ingame told me he did not like the 2 island ponytails bc it elongates the back of hroth heads? but I compared and it didnt look bad enough for me to disavow my fave new style, and I feel it could be chalked up to the hair being pulled back tightly into the ponytail (which is fine for previous runarstyle hrothgar bc it does have the most body and volume of all hroth racial hair lol).
I really hope the patch notes continue to show separate NEW STYLE AVAILABLE TO HROTHGAR/VIERA images so we can see them before we get em even if the previews are just 2 of the 6 styles, I really need to be able to see them now ugh.

I'll confess a sin.
I DID want 2B and 9S hairs for hrothgar(and viera) because...it was 5.5. This was the finale celebrating Squared Enixis hottest new big deal moneyprinter, hrothgar and viera got nothing all shb, I was so disappointed they didnt got the tiniest bit hard on the shb races for the final patch of their launch expac.
And then we finally do get these styles and lord.
Viera ears clip thru 2Bs headband, very noticably, and hrothgar get warped into xenomorphs.
Like the elongation on the 6.2 ponys is not NEARLY so offensive as this was, like its there but its not so bad as this and hroth head dont get a hideous dent in the center, omg.
I really cant believe they didnt make these look a tiny bit better after all the earless hroth outcry, like yeah they arent gr8 styles regardless but gracious.
I will have the tiny, tiny hope that nothing """"new""""" we get 6.3 on will be nearly this atrocious, like I expect artoriel and hippie to pass muster bc the emmanellain style looks fine, rainmaker might have a bit of elongation but should otherwise be fine and dandy, I think we should finally finally have no fear going forward.

If the longer hairstyles look cute on hroth, I might fantasia for a bit. I always wanted to play a lion with a nice sleek mane, so the hippie jesus and artoriel hairs might be perfect for me to get into hroth a bit more. But I will miss my hats. I'd personally prefer hats over hairstyles at this point.

Neoishgard tank/healer hat, the flat cap, the street backwards cap and the steampunky lv60 sch hat (sch has the best job hats of all healers tbh).
If hrothgar and viera could like, once per patch vote on 1 or 2 hats to get fitted for the races I would def do the neoishgard hat it was on 15/20 of my glam plats and the flat cap because its my fave all job glam hat, its so cute and I loved using it with the cashmere top.
I woulda stayed aura til 6.3 but I simply had to see my mancat again

The only exceptions are the endwalker 560 job gear like the drk or drg helms, which dont show hair, but do have visorable faceplates.
For actual hats the only cute, stylish hats are the yorha 51 healer/caster hats and the yorha 55 tank/maiming hats, and the varsity cap. Oh also the ff4 Edgar aiming hat, ilv570, which you can only get from nut sack trading now.

Yeah, it is a bit annoying. In my opinion, the mogstation should be the exception, if anything, for making things useable for viera/hrothgar. We are literally paying a premium. I am of the opinion that if there is a cash shop in a game, the items in it should have a certain level of quality.

We might not always agree on everything and find faults with the devs sometimes, but that is born out of love for this game!
