Yeah the male vieras. You say it like we should be thankful that our "missing half" got gender locked hairstyles or what can be seen as a slap to the face: An entire set of hairs for the new race. No, we don't need to get in 'yo corner', when we've been stranded on a deserted island looking at the mast of our sunken ship from off shore.

Yeah, poor things. What does the most poorly implemented and severly limited new race that was consequentially turned into the least popular by a mile knows about what it feels like to be in a viera's shoes. They're so tragically limited that they're only the SECOND most popular in a span of two years. SECOND! Do those entitled hrothgar have any idea what it feels like not to be number 1? Woe are the bunnies.

What's second-most popular? Being Viera?

I guess I didn't really get the drift of your post here.

Here's the deal - if this is just a Hrothgar post about the parts of my race that lack polish or whatever, I am 1,000% I ain't getting any kind of fix. I'm not cute.

The Viera should be upset - there's limited options for them and hats are turned off for no good reason - I think because any given hat might work on one of the Viera or the Hrothgar, but because it's easier it's not tested nor rolled out.

I don't want to talk about who has it worse. Or better, because do you *know* what I would give to see a patch note like this:



About Hrothgar?

That's a bug fix to 5.5 making it so that Au Ra - an expansion race - could have bedhead - a drop hairstyle. A hotfix no less. Because it was clipping. And I'm not mad that they did that. I think that going over the game and treating cosmetic bugs as being worth fixing is important. And someone cared enough to report it, treat it like an issue that was preventing people from enjoying that really cool drop that cost millions of gil for a long damn time, and fix it.

That's my collar. In 6.0.5. Without modifications of any kind. Or even a target. Just standing there. In my 90 artifact armor. I dye my mane or the armor to deal with it most of the time.

And I used to get mad about it, but it's become Just One More Thing that has to be checked when I'm making a glamour plate or what have you. I can't really change my hairstyle - costs $10 if I do, and I don't really want to play as something other than Hrothgar - I like being a big guy in games and when I was growing up Kimahri was one of those characters that just stuck with me.

So, please understand, when I say "please give us haircuts or hats" it's not that I am upset that other people have things I don't, some people will always have something with which I wasn't blessed.

It's not that I have some kind of remorse about picking the character I did, and want you to go back on your word not to include headgear.

Headpieces don't mean I can't wear what in Ren and Stimpy the narrator would call "Thrilling headgear" - yeah I'm disappointed when there's a seasonal event and my entire race is excluded.

Haircuts don't mean I'm sore about not being able to have the Ruby Rod Haircut from Fifth Element - more customization is awesome, and yeah, it's a little bummer that people get 50% more items with buying the Aymeric set than I do, but I'm happy the way I am.

It's that not having haircuts AND not fixing clipping AND not giving me any ability to toggle my posture AND not giving us hats of any kind means I can't wear half the armor in the game without hideous clipping.

And not being able to wear half the armor in the game?

NGL. It makes me a little sad every time I have to go to my home and dye my mane.

To be fair, Hrothgars have it objectively worse than Viera. That doesn't validate any accusations against bunnies though.

At this point I'd be content if Hrothgar hairstyles weren't linked to their faces. 4 hairstyles with some slight tweaks for the whole race.

Viera players wanna complain about fewer / no hats and limited hairstyles, after getting the "missing half" of their race in Endwalker? Get in my corner, yo.

If it wasn't already mentioned, or you didnt know....
This is already part of the plan.

They will allow all 4 face options to wear all 4 Hairstyles. I cant remember if there will also be new hair along with that.
But I think they are also enabling more features as well. Like the signature Ronso Unicorn Horn will also be wearable on all 4 heads.

Well yeah they definitely do. Just the back and forth is kinda silly is all. They both got the short end of the stick and it sucks lol

I'm sorry, but the fact that we have to use Fantasias to even change our hairstyle seems like a more pressing issue to me. IMO, that should've been addressed before Male Vieras were even released, but here we are. So forgive me if I find a bit irritating when Viera players complain about the lack of hairstyles while they at least have the option to change them, lol.

I personally find it a little insulting when people come and say both races have it bad, when one of them is being grossly neglected to the point where they can't change their hairstyles without using a Fantasia.

And while I'll concede that both races could use a lot of polish, I think it would be fair if they gave Hrothgar priority for some well deserved TLC after waiting over two years.

I retracted my comment as to avoid inciting unnecessary drama, but I guess you were too quick to reply to it. I'm just voicing my frustration over how this whole situation has been managed by SE, and I apologize if I ruffled any feathers. I just don't find it particularly fair that some people seem to demand more features while some of us have been waiting for far longer than them.

Do you know how many times I've had to argue with people because they swear Hrothgars can change their hairstyle with the aesthetician? The average player doesn't even know what's going on with us, and most people turn a blind eye towards these issues because it doesn't affect them. I wish more people would realize how severely limited we are, rather than just being unable to wear hats. But whatever, I guess arguing on a forum is about as productive as shouting into the void.

Yeah, I always thought both viera and hrothgar needed updates, before making the issues worse by adding the missing genders on top of it. I won't be surprised if female hrothgar release with the same limitations as male hrothgar. Even if SE is adding new hairs for male hrothgar, does that even mean they have fixed the fantasia issue, or just more hairs that require a fantasia?

I understand, really I do. But no one was insinuating that Viera should have priority or that their situation is worse than yours. Hrothgar obviously have it worse, that's just a fact and everyone does acknowledge it. You're getting an update in 6.1 and we'll hopefully be having a sneak peek of what's expected during SE's live letter... If they've (again) done the bare minimum for your race, then of course we can revisit this topic. I always have in mind that Hrothgar should've been fixed almost immediately and taken priority when SE initially received the backlash for the whole fantasia situation, but please bare in mind I'm not disregarding your issue... I just want to see what 6.1 brings you first.
