Have been much better cause "technical issues" with customization (whaa the mean furries want new hair. I actually have to model it? Fine <makes literally half a mod. HALF. And calls it a good enough day>) could have just as easly been handwaved and folk would have been a bit more willing to accept it due to the nature of the model.

The main problem is that they seem to be focusing on Viera a little too much. I don't care if there are more Viera players, the fact of the matter is that the devs themselves wanted Hrothgar into the game and caved into fan pressure to add Viera. Now that we have both, they need to balance the attention. Because as of right now it looks like Viera is the reason why Hrothgar can't have anything. Just like how it'd look like Hrothgar was the reason Viera couldn't have anything if Hrothgar had gotten a female gender in EW and Viera hairs were having this problem with the ears. GIVE THEM BOTH EQUAL ATTENTION SO IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE FAVORITISM!

you are 100% right. the blatant favoritism for a race they didn't even want to make at first is royally pissing me off. We cant even get a confirmation on whether or not we'll FINALLY have access to the same Basic function of hairstyle change at the Aesthetician as every other race.

SE knew full well Hrothgar wouldn't be as popular as some of the other races, so they can't even use the smaller Hroth population as an excuse. They knew what they were signing up for. This is like if SE released an indie art film and complained that it didn't sell like a blockbuster.

If they weren't prepared to bring Hrothgar up to par with the older races why did they release them in the first place? And if they just wanted to milk expansion/fantasia sales, why didn't they make a race with more mass-appeal? It's weird...

Hrothgar have been getting the short end of the stick left and right and now Square finally gives Hroth some hair options for an earless karen wig that we STILL HAVE TO BUY FANTASIA TO USE?! This is unacceptable. Why is it Hrothgar have to pay more and yet still receive less customization than ALL OTHER RACES IN THE GAME?! Even Viera have the ability to go to the aesthetician in game and change their hair while Hrothgar can't even have that. We still are treated like half a race and get nothing but excuses in return for why we are treated poorly by a game we all pay for just like any other player. We invest in upgrading an animation for a maps that no one looks at but issues that Hroth players have had for years still get swept under the rug? Do better Square. This is the type of stuff that makes me want to quit this game all together.

This is the main reason that made me switch out Hrothgar, it has the same flaws than Viera but has less than half their customization choice.
I'd happily play one if my face wasen't stuck to my hairstyle like any other race and if I could switch it at the aesthetician.

It's not only that there are fewer players, the problem is that they are keeping it that way. I know and heard of a lot of people who would love to play Hrothgar but don't cause of their limitations. And with this bad choice of hairstyles, they are pushing people away. If any Hrothgar would buy a Fantasia in 6.1 it would be used to change to a less restricted race. This just makes me sad, but I don't blame anyone who will do that.

It looks like Hrothgar ears are in the facial features part of their customization now. The section below the new Hrothgar hairstyles shows new facial features and one of them looks like ears to me.

I believe those are for ear tufts, not the ears themselves.

At this point, I would like them to scrap Hrothgar and implement Ronso. If they can fix Hrothgar's limitations without amputating their ears, then scrap it and make something more in line with this:

Hello everyone, I wanted to bring your attention to this. This does not confirm, nor deny that Hrothgar will need to use a fantasia to change their race-specific hairstyles. I'm trying to remain optimistic about this I'm hoping for the best for our Hrothgar players. Come around patch 6.1, if they still need a fantasia to change their haircuts then.... Well, I'll be back.
