VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

I’m replying to give these complaints more visibility, Hrothgar’s ears are part of the identity of the race. I would have been satisfied even if the 8 existing hairstyles were made available on every face but not having them on those new hairstyles is just wrong, pls listen to our feedback

I genuinely lost my **** seeing they just chopped off Hrothgar ears to fit other hairstyles on them. Like how can you be that tone-deaf to think that's A) what people want, and B ) would go over well at all?

Good gods, and I thought Viera of both genders had it bad. This does not give me hope for future Hrothgals, like, at all.

I think Yoshi-P is fully aware of how we'd react to this and may be just as disappointed. You notice how in every picture of the hairstyles, he's either hiding his head or looking away unhappily? Considering how much he seems to value perfection (as shown from the EW delay because he tried to get it perfect), he's probably as unhappy as we are...and looking at the hairstyles on the heads, this was a no-win situation for him. Delay the hairstyles and face outrage, or release as is and face outrage. The only hair out of that bunch that can get away with the ears not showing is Snow's hair, and that's only because of the beanie.

people who get paid to do/redo already existing 3d assets are somehow unable to do what a single modder does in their spare time? not to mention, also take more time than said modder?
he's perfectly fine with this, and instead of blaming it on him for allowing this crap to be shown, you absolve him of blame. same with similar issues like class or dungeon design.
he's the head honcho, he knows about all of this and is perfectly fine with every single issue, because people will still blindly defend this crap, him and his lies throughout the years.

This was the absolute WORST way to go about this. If they have no problem amputating hrothgars' ears, then one would think that hroth's could have their hats then, even if the ears aren't visible while wearing them? Even THAT would make more sense because at least then it'd be just the issue of not seeing the ears but they could very well still be present, but here? Nah, you literally cut off their ears!

I decided to make an account for the forums just to add my voice to the numbers of those who are disappointed with hairstyles and how they have removed hrothgar ears just to make them work. This is honestly just insulting to hrothgars, how we have to wait years for new hairstyles and not only are they honestly lackluster, they removed our ears. I understand that only 2% of the playerbase play hrothgar, but if Hrothgar had more options for hair and heck could even wear hats, maybe more people would play our race rather than just ignore it. It's really disappointing to wait so long for new hairstyles and then get... this. Please restore the hrothgar ears for these hairstyles and maybe even give us some hairstyles that look like they fit for hrothgar?

I do not agree. They have money to do better. Look at these prints. You don't have to look far on twitter to find that a single person has done this alone. He has all the working helms for hrothgar, and is developing for vieras. I don't expect less than that. They could buy this mod since this person took more care of their content than they did themselves.

Yes indeed. As I said before here: They say not to use mods, but encourage us to use them with things like that. It's been a while since they've come less and less, worrying about details. They took the ears off of the mi'qote, lalafell, and elezen from various helmets, and now they take the ears off the hrothgar. I wonder what they will do from now on.
