There's a viera joke when you eat/choose one of the carrots during a loporrit quest. Think you gotta choose the blue carrot and they tell you a viera joke since you're viera.

Player race has rarely been acknowledged in quests, beyond people sometimes calling you by your race instead of by name. For example, go do the early archer job quests. One of the characters complains about how everyone who's not a wildwood elezen is polluting the art, including the player, even if you're also a wildwood elezen. So acting like that's a new thing for viera and hrothgar is silly.

This was the case for reaper but then only 7 or so of the AF headgear were compatible with viera in endwalker.

I do wish as they added the new races, they updated earlier zones to include NPCs of those races. We just kind of act like, oh- they've always been there. It would be cool to replace some of the NPCs in major cities like Limsa, Gridania and Uldah with viera and hrothgar.

They consistently make new races foreign to Eorzea so I doubt they'll ever do that. Hell, Au Ra only have two NPCs in the expansion areas they were introduced in for lore reasons (Sidurgu and the woman from the HW WHM quests), and while they never repeated that it just underscores how much I doubt they'll ever do it.

Well, the media tour is here and it doesn't look good for Viera being able to wear AF gear headgear again.
I don't know what it is with SE and designing gear expansion after expansion that 2 races cannot use. You'd think after 2 expansions of people requesting it, they would get the feedback.
