And this is why i laugh at all the Hrothgar players that still come rushing in to defend the game at every step here in the forums. The race gets treated like a joke and yet some people here still think the people at square enix are their friends that need to be defended.

Point them to us as well, we want to have a good laught too!
I honestly burst out laughing every time someone defends SE in any form. They ain't your friends! They will cut all corners and cross all of their supposed friends if it meant gaining more money.
That is why I expect nothing from them. They have not said that female Hrothgar are coming in 7.0 so I am not expecting it, I can still be upset for being left to wait for 5+ years for them, but it doesn't mean I expect them to be added in 7.0. If they show us only 2 hairstyles in a patch I will be of the opinion that those are all that we will get. No reason to belive in something that was never said out loud. Hats would be amazing, but it was never said it will happen, so don't expect it either.
Again, expect a 0 and be pleasantly surprised if it is a 1.

And the playerbase is VERY forgiving. A big very. If any other company pulled the same halfassed stuff there would be 10 articles and 20 clickbait videos about the downfall of that company, their games and gaming in general.

If they really wanted to Maximize, they'd work on both Hrothgar and Viera Equally.

Honestly, I stick to my thought that the whole thing about Hrothgar being made first and Viera added due to popular demand was complete bs and it was actually the opposite: female Viera were the ones to be added and Hroths meant to be the male Viera replacement cuz they didn't want bunny boys for whatever reason, but the genderlock backlash was such that they ended up making the other genders for both races anyway ...and now there's a lowkey resentment about it cuz it's 'extra work' they didn't consider before.

Im sorry but people can’t possibly believe with how popular Viera were even before they were added to ffxiv that Hrothgar were intended first.

Ronso mostly appeal to a minority and contrary to popular belief companies do not care that much about minorities, they use them as publicity or as a “we have to do this one thing to not make people question us and get bad publicity instead because the other companies are doing it”.

Bunny boys came after Hrothgar yet you can still see there’s a different quality in the character creator. And they came AFTER. They brought a new race before they fixed you. So tell me which one was intended and worked on first.

And let’s say IF Hrothgar were the intended race and not a service, then how comes they didn’t make Hroth ladies instead of bunny boys as the first thing? If you were the original intended race?
Because more people asked for bunny boys? Please. We ask for hats, we ask for plenty of things and they don’t take any of that into consideration so are you going to tell me they took this?

So yes of course they will give you even less crumbs than they give us because you honestly seem to be the last thing on their priority list.

But don’t worry, almost every “beast” race is ignored, you can’t even use your own hairstyles, we can’t use hats and you neither, miqo get their ears cut off, miqo and au ra have their tails clipped through every new cape I mean…when you look at the big picture it seems like they scarcely give a damn about any race anymore.

Thats what i love about GW2 and WoW. Their beast races slap hard. Charr get actual clawed paws, capes dont straight up clip through the tail but try to flow over it. Worgen get paws, can wear any helmet same as tauren. Do most helmets look goofy? Yes, but at least people have the OPTION.

If hrothgar were intended, why are we the red headed step child? Viera ain't that better either. But the quality in updates is visible, 5 head ot not.

Im really disappointed that they can’t work on two new races PROPERLY for three years. Honestly as much as I have hope for Hrothgals, it gets less and less with each patch. Not in the sense that they won’t bring them but that it will be yet another unfinished race waiting three years or more for the bare minimum.

One day we female Hrothgar will see the light of day. here's some hope that after 16 some devs will come back and we all will receive some well deserved update.

I doubt working on them was even a plan to begin with. Especially after the comment saying that the promised racial hairs was a "mistranslation". They were meant to be in the state they were released in, and actually in a lesser state without the minor headgear. The devs are probably more in the mindset of what they are doing now as going "above and beyond", since they are releasing updates for them at all. The seemingly minimal effort put into them is a courtesy.
