I'm just hoping they get more hairstyles (and maybe more ear styles) at some point.

I enjoy male viera but the hair styles were so limiting, and my head always felt too narrow or too wide. Couldn't find a middle ground. I've gone back to miqo'te for the meanwhile, i'm sure i'll go back, but i'm hoping i see more of the hairstyles they've added over the years added as options. They did a couple of them, and to be honest, one of the choices was one that looks almost exactly like one of their race specific hairstyles, so that was disappointing to see. The hairstyle that Emmanellain uses.

The sad part is that i can't just go back to liking Miqo'te as much. Viera looked better in cutscenes, had a better default idle animation, a not-goofy run animation, and the hairstyle i was using looked more like something an actual person would have instead of this spikey thing i've got going (not that i dislike it, it gives my head a nice shape, it's just a little too spikey). What i like about miqo'te right now is better head shape (because hair) and gear looks a little better on me, was hard making glams to fit my taste on Viera, i prefer to give myself a slightly bulkier/muscular looking frame with glams, as opposed to looking more lithe. The way gear fits miqo'te lends itself better to this.

The hair problem was partially to blame for the struggles with making a good glamour, combined with the ears. The only hair i really liked made me feel too narrow, same with the ears. Kind of wish there was a pair that sat a little further apart rather than being so high up on the head, also even at shortest length, they are pretty long.

You know what would have been a good idea for Hrothgar uniqueness?

Having them be two toned. For instance:



Like Orange and white fur for the chest/under belly, etc

I expect nothing anymore. I held a candle for unique hair, and the wait would have been worth it. Viera hairstyles are some of my favourites in the game and are very striking. Seeing them give us Modern Aesthetics was just the nail in the coffin of my hopes that they would ever hold up this bargain.

It's either give us all of it or give us our exclusives. I didn't think the latter was too much to ask for.

At times like these I really do wish I could read Japanese... I'd like to know what they discuss on the forums or if there's a post similar to this one.

Update: I checked out the Japanese forums and a lot of their posts have replies from moderators... I'm so surprised - are we actually ignored? It'd be nice to have a comment from a moderator so I know we're at least heard.

Just use google translate. It makes for some funny reads. But even they ask for viera and hrothgar hairs, albeit vastly different than NA forums.

Update: I checked out the Japanese forums and a lot of their posts have replies from moderators... I'm so surprised - are we actually ignored? It'd be nice to have a comment from a moderator so I know we're at least heard.

We're not actually completely ignored, but there are so many troll threads on NA forums & threads that are seen as demanding & rude that the devs don't waste their time with every one of our posts- only the really popular ones will actually get looked at. That's why people stress keeping similar topics in a megathread that way we might see a response.

Remove the ear tuft around our ears when we have workable headgear on, please. At least for myself, it's very noticable with the type of ears I picked and I don't want to have to buy a Fantasia to switch my ear type just so I can have less noticable ear tuft when wearing workable headgear. :<

Viera is the first male race that appeals to me and I love my character now, but I had 40+ headpieces in my glamour storage and like 5 of them works now. I hope that when female Hrothgars are done we can finally have some attention to this issue, starting with Hrothgar being able to change their hairstyle

I'm hoping SE dont even so much as think about Female Hrothgar until the current races are up to scratch... We've waited long enough, it's unacceptable to ignore us (again) just to make another race counterpart.

I do sympathize with SE because when Female Viera and Male Hrothgar were introduced they received backlash from certain people, they actually accused SE of being sexist and god knows what else - so it's probably not something they want to be painted as so understandable. But they clearly don't have the resources to work on two things at once, so genuinely I do think we can wait for Female Hrothgar.
