VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

I know this probably happens on other races, but goodness.

Viera hairstyles clipping through the ears has always massively bothered me. These are race-specific hairstyles for a race with distinct and consistently placed ears high on the head. Why does every single hairstyle have a horizontal parting that clashes with those ears?

I'd rather have more masculine hair options then more people parading around ERPing.

But not to derail the unfished races post. SE should be ashamed as long as it takes. I've heard every argument in the book as to why they did it. I think it’s scummy, and something up the ally of an EA or a Blizzard. It's just sad really. Until they're brought up to the standards of all the other races I'll still continue to call out how scummy it is.

Like, thats just not how that works or what the word even means.

And...I dont agree at all that its scummy...just that it sucks.
As neat as the Male Viera are.....if they just stuck with Hrothgar 100%, and I guess if Covid didnt happen, maybe things would be better for the Hrothgar.
I dont want to discount Viera, because it is pretty neat they are in the game...but of course Im more bias towards the Hrothgar since we never had a TRUE beastrace/Non-human or Humanoid option till now.

nono, it's not weird at all. And there IS a Hrothgar\Roe version for that piece.

Another great event by SE where 2 races can't use the glam that's the reward.
I'm still waiting for the parity in headgear they promised back at the start of Endwalker. Since they still continue to release new rewards that certain races just cannot use.
Raid Gear, Alliance Raid Gear, Even Gear, Job Gear, Dungeon Gear, Mogstation Items. You'd think with these races being almost 4 years old, about a 3rd of the game's lifespan, they'd at some point start making things they can use.

Not even defending them, it's just that they rarely even talk about headgear issues in the first place.

This is so utterly infuriating. Genderlocked and unavailable to two races.

Because let's assume they one day bring everyone up to par. Every hairstyle fits, every headgear is adjusted. Will we still keep having crap like this where they do an event for everyone but us?

Considering how they're ungenderlocking stuff yet still making genderlocked items every patch, that propsect doesn't look favourable.

The frustrating part I've seen with this is an excuse that's been floated around is that they can't make headgear or hair work on these races without reworking the models, but they KEEP making new models that are incompatible and adding to the load of things that would need to be redone to work with hte races, instead of doing some work now and not having such a heavy backlog of work when they eventually decide to fix these races. It doesn't give me a lot of hope for the future or the graphics update in 7.0 for these races. At this point SE should just give everyone with a viera or hroth character a free fantasia and name change and let them get off this ride and onto a race with full features.
