I'll be a prickly bi*ch. Someone ought to. But not because Square needs to hear negativity, Square needs to not be so meek about this topic.

This is really well done, hairstyles that actually start to fit the Hrothgar frame and concept more over 2Peanut. This is refreshing to see and I HOPE they don't sleep on us now for another three years.

That said... Square still needs an earpull. Because we didn't get these hairstyles mentioned or presented in fanfests or live letters. Which is just downright silly. Because we want them to know that they're doing a good job. We want to give them praise for the stuff they get right, and have that level of detail keep coming. This is a good thing, a definite step-up from "meme faces" or "Peanut skull" and "chopped off ears". Honestly solid hairstyles in comparison.

So why are Hrothgars again being left out of mentions yet again? xD Because they fear our reactions? Well, these are cool hairstyles. And we should give praise where there's stuff to praise, we're not always going to be negative nancies. This is one such case where praise shines through. And it's by seeing the fans' reactions and know whether or not they're on the right track that Square can feel confident in their skill to present stuff that's good like this more often. To further nail on what fits our race versus what doesn't.

Understanding the difference between this and April 1st is key for future updates imo. And Square shouldn't be so afraid of their fan reaction. This is a good thing, and this is only the beginning of what people actually asked for. There's a lot more that fits and meets this level of acceptance over Karen Hair 2Peanut.

The takeaway, Square, is that you're starting to nail it. And rather than feeling so uptight over poor reactions about what you yourselves know were garbage attempts at memes, actually take people seriously and feel good when you actually think things through and present stuff that fits.

Now. Wind Caller and Styled for Hire next, yes?
Because those also fit Hrothgars very well and are hairstyles that MIGHT also fit Viera too.
I'm not too sure about Wind Caller fitting Vieras due to the massive forehead, but I've seen modded versions of Hrothgar so I do know it can work for us.

That's what it looks like, we'll know soon enough but you'd think they would show a style from both patches if that were the case.

6.3 patch notes confirmed Adventure for Viera and reconfirmed Saintly Style as well as confirmed Viera's 6.1 batch for Hrothgar (which includes Rainmaker, a hair that looks really excellent on Hrothgar imho.)





Female Adventure is among my least favourite hairstyles in the game (always found it gives billboard brow to every race, lmao), but I like how Saintly Style looks now that we're seeing it up close, and I'm a huge fan of male Adventure.



These patch notes also contain tons of quality of life improvements that have been long requested especially if you always run new Savages/Ultimates. Also of note is another big batch of gender lock removals including all Valentione and Little Ladies Day sets!
