It's not that I didn't like it... the moon was cool... it just didn't make sense that we have this giant mothercrystal and Aether to burn traveling space... and Venat used mountains of Aether to create a moon and a new species and technology and the Watcher... instead of just putting up an Aether barrier. Heck, it seems the Ancients could have done that. Even localized barriers would have made a difference. Why not shield Amaurot? I'm honestly not clear what it would matter if Zodiark (in pieces) was allowed to roam around on the moon? What would that have hurt? Why even waste the effort chaining him there?

Actually, now that I think about it again, that's redundant because Zodiark was that shield. Zodiark already existed and is the one that's been protecting the world from Meteion. The moon is there to keep Zodiark and then act as a failsafe in case they failed to safe the world. It's not that I didn't like it... the moon was cool... it just didn't make sense that we have this giant mothercrystal and Aether to burn traveling space... and Venat used mountains of Aether to create a moon and a new species and technology and the Watcher... instead of just putting up an Aether barrier. Yeah Zodiark was just an Aetheric shield - so he could have been allowed to wander the moon (not causing trouble- since no one is there)... and the Ancients could have put up Aetheric Barriers around the city. It might not have been a permanent solution, but certainly would have bought time, especially since they could have actually then known what was happening...."Hey guys stop killing yourselves to feed Zodiark- his Aetheric energy is the shield... let's try building an Aetheric barrier instead of feeding ourselves to this guy!"
