Why does it fold up?? Id understand if it was a few of them that did it like how Sages weapon has different positions (though itd be better if they let you pick which one you want instead of each ones position set in stone). I dont know about yall but i would much much more prefer if it didnt fold up like a cheap pocket knife. It annoyed me when Miners pick axe does it and this annoys me just as much if not more so...

I kept the original class unlock weapon as my glamour precisely because it's the only one that actually resembles a scythe...

It would be really nice if the class had some actual scythes for weapons, even if just level 1 items for us to glamour to.

Ktisis weapon looks alright as does the lakeland one. Why in the world to the other weapons like giant buzzsaws/weed whackers?

I only use the Death Scythe. Most the other Scythes have that dumb foldy thing. Ironically the Blackbosom scythe on any other job does not fold at all.

Careful, when GNBs complained about their sound effects SE turned them into clubs, they may turn your scythes into plushies.

Might work for the Reaper Weapon.....
Macro:
/bm
/sit

Copy above to a macro, then add that macro button to one of your action bars.
Make sure you have "show weapon" enable on your Character paper doll screen.
Click the macro button, then move your character to stand back up.
It should, in theory, keep the Reaper weapon "wielded animation" active, while it is sheathed on your back.
Run the macro while you are out of combat.
Getting into combat, then back out, will "reset" the weapon back to its inactive state.
The above macro also works for any weapon with a particle effect and/or glow.

Well poo... just tried it with my Augmented Scaevan Magitek Scythe, it stays folded :P

The reason is because...Scythes are bad weapons. The angle of a typical scythe wouldn't be effective, so they angled the blades out a bit more, but that then requires them to fold the weapon in because if it juts out that much, there could be clipping concerns.
I unno...I personally like the original scythe we receive.

You can tell because they almost all wear the Ktiseos Maiming set and/ or a masked hood.

I'm hoping for an eastern battle staff glamour for reaper so I can use a staff instead of a scythe.
