    Capped instances and randomized spawns.

In Version 2.0, how many of you would want to have capped dungeons and instanced fights?

Also, wouldn't it be more interesting if we had randomly moving spawn points for chests and other items (the photocells in Toto-rak, for instance,) and even some of the foes and NPCs (Imperials in Dzemael, say, and Moogles, again in Toto-rak?

Chests and photocells at Totorak are always in static places though, aside from that would love to add NPC in dungeons to add a little depth on why the hell are we raiding this place.

There's really no point in adding capped dungeons with how easy leveling is currently and lack of any real mid level content. If leveling was slower and there was a need for mid lvl content/gear then I'd love to see it.

I'd prefer open world dungeons over instanced dungeons.

Wouldn't it be interesting to have a Open world dungeon with random chest spawns, monster pops, and rare resources to be gathered within?

I agree with you there, but I was hoping the situation would change. I hope everybody expressed how unsatisfactory the current pace of the game is. Also, that the extravagant PL bonuses would be somehow tempered. It is exactly mid-level content that I'm hoping for.

Besides, the moment cap gets pushed up, 50-level dungeons, and instanced NMs/Primals will, then, also become mid-level content themselves.

Ideally this game can strike a balance between the two. I, like you, love uninstanced combat and competition. It's more danger and challenge in the open world that this game sorely lacks.

But instances are not going to go away... And, given that, capping and randomized content would go a long way preserving some semblance of challenge, in there.

Capped Instances: Please no. All this means is more equipment that has to be stored. Instead of gear for your level 50 job, you now double it up for your level 30 job (or tripple if you want Level 30 and Level 40 cap areas). This also runs into issues with 'jobs'. A Level 30 area would mean in essence, no job, just classes? Then the fun of having to maintain a bunch of different action slots and macros to represent what is available at those capped levels.

I do not see how this is fun.

Open World Dungeons: The worrying concern I have about this is the camping competition. Will I have to try and provoke faster than 5 other LSs and 3 other RMTs for the special NM? WIll I have to worry about other people trying to hurt me while I fight? If those are not valid concerns, then I can see promose for Open World. But if those turn out to be real concerns, then I would be worried.

Why not just have dungeons that allow a variable number of people to enter (1-24 with alliance support), and have the monsters 'scale-up' as appropriate. So Toto-Rak would scale up to level 50 if only level 50 people went in. (Even if monster scaling up was 'simple' in the sense of stats only, and not skills/behaviour/names).

Good points Asiaine but a lot of these post are reminiscing about the old days of FFXI where you didn't progress through levels as fast and wouldn't have as many jobs leveled. Then it worked because people were still working on jobs but in this game...it's just not feasible with the current pace.

I am interested in open world dungeons and their are ways SE can create ways for players to experience the content in a competitive manner while making it a fair chase. To combat RMT's make non trade-able or sell-able. To make claiming NM's fair make process to have to claim it, or maybe activating certain things in the dungeon will pop said nm claimed by the pt, there plenty SE can do knowing their creative minds if they really wanted>>

Both Asiane and Jokers mention reasonable points. But again, my hope is that the overall leveling pace be altered once content is introduced, and that (just like it happened in FFXI after Level Sync became an option,) the higher-level gear you might be wearing on entering, scales down, just as you do when your level is capped.

The Jobs issue is, with a bit of imagination and work, solvable as well.

I am optimistic that come V. 2.0, and with it population and more technical flexibility, the game can find different pace and strike a new rhythm. Perhaps then, a protracted Mid-Level stage will warrant more solid content.

And by the way, I also long for a much richer open world, and with open dungeons... But I don't want instances, which are here to stay, to appear like blemishes of blandness, all over the world's geography.

I not so much for Capped. What they can do is delevel our stats to the level of lv30 more like a illnesses. Capping just means your set at lv30.
