Current casual players should get on the cases of the lazy players that want everything nerfed because they can't be bothered to push more than a couple buttons or move their character during a fight. The nerfs they caused with their endless whining have stunted your skill growth as a player making various content seem harder than it actually is. >.>
I really do get where you are coming from; yet you would be surprised to see actual usability testing results across age, gender, occupation and culture.
Namely, there are plenty of entire categories of folks that truly have a very difficult time doing more than the very basic.
Before you just cast them aside consider keeping this in mind:
Having levels of difficulty at all is intended to allow the game a broad audience.
Maybe Grandma wants to hang out with her grandkid, and that's OK.
All those dirty casuals' subscriptions are paying for your content much more than raid gamers' subs are paying for their content.
Thanks to them we can have very HQ visuals, audio and mechanics. More than any game focused purely on elites could ever hope to pay for.
All for the mere cost of having a one-time clear at reduced difficulty.
Think of Normal mode as a training dummy. It really is one after all.

While I’d prefer to see a bit more difficulty in Savage raids, I don’t know if going back to the extreme that Gordias was is a good idea. Midas difficulty would be nice, I think.

My concern is less to do with threatening door bosses like OG Faust and more to do with the fact that Gordias was simply not tuned well. I’m not talking LL difficulty or outgoing damage but more the HP for Manipulator being so high it was impossible to clear without tome weapons. Not the best design imo. I want actual difficulty. Not artificial difficulty.
