Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
It is indeed. But I really don't consider "selfish" some kind of an insult like you are trying to imply.
And I deeply apologize for not showing up to this thread to just keep on nodding in tune with the same "they should get on it ASAP!11!!" like everyone else.
And that springs something else to my mind, ANOTHER issue on SE's behalf. New players are joining FFXIV and the ones choosing viera or hrothgar completely unaware of the severe limitations because unless someone does the research prior, how else would they know? So eventually they either create a new character after wasting time or buy a fantasia and I think that's so horrible.
You're welcome to have your own opinion on the matter, but it's amusing to me that you're trying to insult people for agreeing with the topic. It's almost as if people do take issue with the fact Viera/Hrothgar are still limited and want to see if fixed. As mentioned up above, this has been a rather large complaint with the community ever since we were told they were going to be limited in the first place.
How dare I even think about responding in kind to those who insist everywhere should be their personal echo chamber. Truly such a terrible mistake by me.You're welcome to have your own opinion on the matter, but it's amusing to me that you're trying to insult people for agreeing with the topic. They do work.
My armoire loves them. It gets to wear all of them all year.
But on a more serious note this is probably why I went back to Au Ra instead of Viera.
This is the most disingenuous response you could have made. You come into a thread where a portion of the community rightfully complains about a design problem, then proceed to do nothing worthwhile but instead be contrarian just for the sake of an argument.
I've just shared my opinion that the "problem" really isn't such a big deal and isn't worth focusing on over other additions to the game. Development time is a finite resource. Those Heavensturn helmets are lame regardless of if you can wear them or not.
Yeah of course it’s not a big deal to YOU? As you’re typing out these responses telling us lack of hats isn’t an issue, all while your avatar’s wearing a hat.
You can still voice the fact that SE are doing a lazy job of this instead of holding their hand.
But I don't think that they are "doing a lazy job". They just judged viera hats a lower priority addition than other things. And I agree with this decision.
