Humble request for two mounts

Good afternoon, players and (hopefully) devs alike! I have never created a forum post so please move it if need be but here goes.

I am new to FFXIV, my friend introduced me to it and I truly love it so far! As I play more and more, I have started looking more and more into future glamours and collectibles as that's such a key component of joy in an MMORPG.
While there are tons of amazing options, there are two that I am surprised are not already in the game yet I wish were: a broom and a spider mount. I do know there is a Halloween broom in the shop already, and while it does look quite nice, I would absolutely grind/purchase/dedicate time to get a less seasonal version. Something along the lines of Harry Potter and their assortment (primarily Nimbus 2001 haha). The other is some form of a giant spider. I actually am rather surprised it doesn't exist but I searched for it on google, various FFXIV sites, and asked my much more experienced friend, all to no avail. Surprising as I've stated as giant spiders tend to be in many games as enemies but hardly ever mounts and I think that's unfortunate.
These are obviously very personal opinions as to what I would like, but hey, maybe there are others out there who would like the same. My friend told me that devs are wonderfully active and maybe they will see this post or maybe others will and help it get noticed. Regardless of the outcome, that completes my humble request for two mounts in this critically acclaimed MMORPG. Thank you for what you have created.


P.S. if anyone does know of other broom/spider mounts, please feel free to let me know so I can start working towards them. I simply haven't found them personally but I absolutely could've missed them. Thanks!

Actually I am fully in support of a giant spider mount. That would be awesome.

A more standard broom mount would be cool! And as you noted, in a similar vein to Harry Potter, they could do a variety of different types, styles, themes regarding brooms so there's plenty of room there to explore (similar to what they've done for horses, some wolves, etc.).

Can't speak to the whole spider mount thing... Personally, I hate spiders with an undying, burning passion. I'm not afraid of them, I legit HATE them and want to kill literally every one I see (it's a thing, been bit a LOT in my life, lol).

You have a chance for that broom mount since we do have a few "variants" on themes. We have a bunch of bears, a couple clouds and Gobbues, and of course the horses, dogs, birds, dragons (gwybers), and now weird cat things.

There are the Yarzons which appear in some early zones and dungeons, notably in the Shroud, but the game has largely veered away from specifically spider-like enemies.

There's some in the Weeping City of Mhach as well as in a FATE in Labyrinthos. Other than that, they're pretty rare. Which is a real shame. Not only are they a classic fantasy trope but they have an unpleasant reputation despite being fascinating and very helpful creatures given that they help keep disease and pests at bay.

Count me among the weirdos(I guess) that would like a spider mount. I like spiders... they keep the pop of other, more annoying insects down. I'm also one of those people that will dump an insect outside rather than kill it, so...

We don't really have much in the way of insects or arachnids as mounts or minions in general.

I'd want a praying mantis minion and mount, especially since we have a mantis model that actually looks like a proper mantis in Mare Lamentorum, unlike those goofily impractical-looking ones ripped from FFXII.
