    Unplayable on MAC

    Hello,

I have been unable to play Endwalker on my MAC as the game crashes every time after being logged in for 10-15 minutes. The error message is as follows:

"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY IX.
    <date and time>

    ntdll.dll+28131"

    MAC Specs:
    iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017)
    3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
    8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
    Radeon Pro 560 4 GB

    Thanks for any help!
    Daniel

Does anyone know if I am missing some instructions? This is my second post in the support forum and I have not received a response. Is there an official way to contact square enix for help?

    Thank you!

Anyway let me tell you, if you are using MacOS Monterey you are going to have problems. Here is a direct quote from SE:

'Regarding macOS’s latest version, macOS Monterey, verification has been in progress for the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV with the aim of adding support around the end of December, but several issues were confirmed in the inspection process so at this point in time it will be difficult to begin support around end of December.

Verification will proceed and depending on the prospects, we will provide another update.

If you use the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, we ask that you please refrain from updating to macOS Monterey until support has been added.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.'

Thank you. Running macOS Big Sur Version 11.6.1. I do not have Monterey. Any suggestions as the issue is still occurring?

    Greetings fellow Eorzean,

Please try the following suggestions to see if this may help with your concern:

    - Update/reinstall your graphics card drivers (a clean install is recommended)
    - Update your Mac OSX software/firmware
    - Disable all programs/overlays running in the background
    - Make sure your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV
    - If you are using a freesync or G-sync monitor, please turn this feature off and limit the frame rate to 30 or 60 FPS within the game. Please also limit the refresh rate on your monitor to 60 Hz should you have a high refresh monitor.

Another possible option would be to perform a clean boot:

For Mac: restart the Mac, the immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo should appear on your display. Release the Shift key when you see the login window.

Should the issue still persist after attempting all the listed troubleshooting, please attempt to uninstall/reinstall the game.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The only issue I have is with the second boss in the Tower of Babil. For your issues, I have no clue, except for a fresh install. What are your computer specs?
