I mean, the colours on it pulsate so it's kiiiinda easy to see? Just step back and stare at them.
There's also the ground in front of the door having a glowing path that points to the door as well. Did about 40 maps with 7 randos on tuesday and we didn't have an issue with it.

Free door?
Sometimes in the portal areas (previous areas too) when it's time to pick a door one of them lights up like Christmas tree (lights all round it, glowing door) and that's basically a free door. It might troll you, but it will open.
I haven't seen the free door in the new Excitatron 6000 area that this thread refers to, but it's very hard to miss the previous ones, just a quick glance at them shows them lit up.
I thought one time I had one that didn't open, but I think I remembered wrongly and/or they changed them to always open.
Try look above the gate, if it makes rainbow color, then it's free door![]()
I've had rainbow door happen a couple of times on the new treasure maps. It's fairly obvious and there's also a sound that happens with it too.
I guess if you were colorblind or not paying attention you could miss it? But I don't know what else they could do except automatically close the wrong door and only have you able to click one of them.

It's more subtle in the new zone, but still fairly obvious.
The chat log also has a message about the left/right door lighting up or glowing or something like that.
