It's not recommending not to reduce it as it then "suddenly CHEATING"... Having now audited the github sourcecode for it, reducing the minimum value below 75ms is something they don't recommend, as the server's cheat detection can then see it.

Quoting from the code that does it....

// The server will do sanity check on the frequency of action use requests,

They go on to warn

Do NOT decrease this value. You've been warned.
The reason why seems quite clear to me, above 75ms and someone on a very high ping (say Australia) will get performance somewhat like someone closer to the server (like North America) but someone in North America isn't going to see much of anything, as their ping is already low enough.

However, the source code does make very clear that the server can see this, and clear to me too, it is going to put an account at risk should they look in their logs and act on the server's detection. Even for someone with 220ms ping they can say "hmmm, logs show he is playing at 75ms"

It would be far better if SE fixed their janky netcode.
