I'd say that's fairly useless to waste time on in development and in player time. People are already crying, you included, about the reskins already. So what is it? Give us reskins, or don't give us reskins? Don't go back and forth on it.
Here's a simple way to put it for you. When we get the same item model but with dyability added, that's at least something added. When we get the same armor, for the same jobs, with a slight recolor on one part of it, that's not really something added.

Also, there was no grind involved for getting your AF gear in Shadowbringers or Stormblood, no moreso than getting your AF in Endwalker anyway. The grind was in dying that gear but you're talking about "getting geared up to start doing content". In Shadowbringers you're handed your job gear at a certain point in the MSQ, the only difference is you have to be level cap to wear it. Regardless, you had your job gear by the time you started doing content, so getting that job gear at 89 instead makes no functional difference. They just did it so they could cut out a gearset and it's as simple as that.
