And that's because her end goal is to stop the end of mankind in the long term, not the final day. The final day is just one of many way for civilization to die, it's merely an mean to an end. People keep asking why Venat doesn't try to stop the final day ... because it's never her goal? Why should it be?

Because preventing the end of civilization is generally a good thing, and working with the people you've known for decades to tackle a problem is generally more favourable than working with someone you met for a couple hours ago, just cause they smell vaguely like your own magic.

The story implied this through more occassion than you have fingers, yet people still somehow "tunnel vision" into the issue of the final day. Before parting way with you in Elpis, she stated that the key to a long term solution is to seek out the answer to Herme's question. When she met you again and before giving you the last trial, she said "if you pass this test I will listen to the answer of the question I asked you all those years ago". Only once she's satisfied with this she would entrust you with mankind future. The theme song of the game for the last 10 years is even called The Answer people, like how can the story make it more obvious to you!? Hell, even Emer-Setch last word allure to the samething, he still pissed that she sundered them, but admit his method (relying on Zodiac) would not have take mankind to the new height like Hydaelin did.

I don't think any of this addresses the main problem of my complaint on the time travel holes. Venat keeps everything to herself and the only diegetic reasoning she explained is "Hermes might not work with us if he knew." She wants to solve the problem of a nihilistic universe but lets absolutely no one attempt to tackle the issue. (Though maybe some of that will be tackled in the Twelve Raid.)

The issue isnt "Hur dur Final Days is the problem" (Though like, genuinely preventing the suffering caused by it should have been or her agenda, and killing/changing Meteions nest is basically all we do as our answer anyway). The issue is she let no one in on any plans.

The funny thing is she actually failed. In the original timeline the WoL dies never knowing the plan, if it hadn't been for a collaboration of the leftover learned people (something she explicitly avoided using) she'd have failed entirely in her plan to bank everything on the WoL.

Now I absolutely love the Endwalker story. Thematically its great (everything surrounding Venat as well). It just needed some diagetic touch ups
