But you are 100% correct, I do not know the exact specifications of the servers nor how many would be needed. It's simply conjecture on my part.

What isn't conjecture though is the proof of the lie that these things are impossible to come by. I'm sorry but that's simply untrue. Sure they'd have to spend more, which I believe is why it's not happening.

All you see is "High performance server" and "available now". It's obvious you did not read my response in totality. These consumer level offerings aren't what they need. You googled "server" and point at the first thing you find that says for sale and go "SEE! I FOUND SOME" when you have no idea what specs, location, access, bandwidth, compatibility or layout they require.

Your accusation is PURE conjecture coming from smug ignorance. You don't know. You have PROVEN you don't know by your assertion they could have this all setup in days and just.. somehow plug it in to the existing servers they have somewhere else and make it work but they're worried about money and THAT'S why they've shut down sales and advertising... right?

Let alone that multiple IT professionals (myself included, I work for an ISP in the NOC) have related first hand experience in ordering hardware being advertised as available and then being quoted MONTHS out for delivery, sometimes even being told "oh sorry, we can't fulfill that".

Out of the 1300+ people plus currently waiting in the Q to get in. Let's say they're all paying a standard sub fee without the mognet App.

That's £9.50 x £1300 - £12,350 - Per month, and that's only the people waiting in the Q on Lich. I'm sure you can do the rough maths on the true income of the game.

And now you're showing you have no idea what it costs to pay a studio full of developers and the monthly costs in electricity, bandwith, maintenance, repairs, monitoring, moderation, and realty to run the game we play.

Yeah, they probably make a pretty profit, but this doesn't mean they're willing to tank ALL their profits into overpaying for things, let alone that those things aren't available.


Give up on this last one. You snarked on a far larger bite than you know.

Complain about the story, and the content all you like. That's all subjective. Enjoy the game or don't. Whatever. Yes there's lots of things that can be improved. Cool suggest away.

Just stop making these wildly ignorant and smarmy claims about things you know nothing about that are widely published over all industries to be fact.
