Here I am, convinced by Kaurhz and Rdehlika that I actually have good reasons to love the expansion. So yeah, I side with you.

I agree.
I really love that ARR zones are split into different sectors. The Black Shroud is beautiful and with the maps being smaller they feel more alive. The maps from HW onwards, on the other hand, are so vast but feel empty and lack life.
It has been an unfortunate trend for quite some time. A pattern emerges where some see any criticism as a personal attack to the point where they rush to defend each and every decision made by their favoured corporation.
The same individuals often fail to grasp that a lot of criticism comes from genuine investment and that it's perfectly possible for some people to enjoy the game without rolling over and accepting anything and everything thrown their way.
Or people just simply disagree with your criticisms, or the criticisms of other people. Welcome to a discussion. We've got genuine issues in the game and people are out here posting several threads about a lack of level 89 dungeon gearset and the walkability of a zone...It has been an unfortunate trend for quite some time. And the restaurant learns nothing in the process. Ever watched an episode of Kitchen Nightmares? It may be hammed up TV drama, but a recurring theme in failing businesses is restaurant owners who refuse to acknowledge feedback and identify what they're doing wrong or where they could better please their customers. Why do you think businesses fixate so much on gaining customer feedback, to the point of sometimes hounding them for it? Although one does not need to "create a scene" or be dramatic about it, and do the whole "call your manager" schtick, complaints are very much part of the learning process for businesses. It is ignorant to think otherwise and arrogant to simply dismiss them or discourage them. If you don't like them as a consumer? Whatever. Move on, stop trying to tell others not to.if I am at a restaurant, and the food is half cooked or wrong, unlike you, I dont feel the need to create a scene and complain... I just leave. some people like to create a scene and drama, and others, simply cant be bothered if expectations arent met. life is too short to spend it whining. just move on. life is much happier that way.
no one is taking away your ability to whine about things you dislike. but its a little entitled to take it as a "right" to complain, since thats only a one way street (unless you subscribe to WoW who feels its their right to complain about the subscribers right back)
Telling someone to just quit the game isn't mere "disagreement" though, is it? Wonder what SE would think of some of its customers telling other customers to stop consuming its product simply because they're doing what it, like any serious company, expects them to do, and provide feedback?
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I think there’s a difference between disagreeing with the OP and telling him to quit the game completely and get out.
We do affect things. We affect a lot. Giving information to Venat that she acted on is an effect in itself, and on top of that we helped them find Meteion and force her to give the report and in doing so we form a link in the chain of events leading to the Final Days and ultimately to where we are today.
Elidibus was correct that we would not be able to communicate in the state we arrived in, but that's because he had no way of knowing we'd get spotted by Emet and given enough aether to be turned into a functional entity there.
I am personally of the opinion that the logic of the time loop is fine, but Venat's actions post-Elpis are either under-explained or too reliant on doing things because we told her it would happen. She should have her own reasons for acting in accordance with what we described.
That said, the reason she doesn't tell us sooner about Meteion is circular: we were unaware of Meteion prior to visiting Elpis, therefore she cannot tell us about Meteion in the present day until after our visit, or she would risk breaking the timeline.

They're free to disagree, though when they're making bold assumptions about the person behind the post then it suggests that the issue is less about the content and more about some people daring to have the sheer audacity to imply that the game is anything less than perfect.
Furthermore, just because a particular individual does not see a certain element of the game as a concern it does not mean that others do not. I don't do high end raiding, though I wouldn't say that players who do have no validity when providing feedback just because it doesn't interest me specifically.
The thread's premise is primarily about a lack of content, however - which has been a common point of feedback for years at this point.
Yes I'm sure the minority of a thread telling someone to get out is a fairly solid trend /sTelling someone to just quit the game isn't mere "disagreement" though, is it? It's ironic that we talk about feedback though - Because this exact thread is just a solid argument of why the developers aren't exactly rushing out of their seats to develop new and innovative content when we have people busting out their fists over a lost dungeon, or a lost level 89 gearset, or the reuse of certain assets "cuz mah quota". Many people don't understand that development time is a finite resource. The developers branching out and developing content such as Ishgard Restoration, Ocean Fishing, Island Sanctuary, or Deep Dungeon is always going to cause certain cuts in other areas of the content.
The argument in the absolute vast majority of cases comes from the angle of people that very selectively use their points of data, instead of looking at the whole picture, which is always going to result in a very inaccurate assessment. People can cry about the lack of deep dungeon or extra dungeon per patch, responsively the argument could be made that no previous expansion had faux hollows, ocean fishing, ishgard restoration or a large scale savage raid encounter which was previous requested, or the expansion that Bozja had over Eureka including Dalriada, the presence of 'challenging' 1 vs 1 encounters. They're free to disagree, though when they're making bold assumptions about the person behind the post then it suggests that the issue is less about the content and more about some people daring to have the sheer audacity to imply that the game is anything less than perfect.

I'm pretty sure worst is said pretty much everyday in /yell or even /say. They don't care, because those same people bring in more people, that's just how communities evolve.
