I already cancel my sub and it's going to expire tomorrow.
Imagine paying for the game, expansion, monthly and playing the game with audio disabled because the developer can't even communicate about the problem.
SE managed to be equal to other companies that i don't even need to mention the name.
I have had to cancel my sub until it's fixed.![]()
I've cancelled mine, as well. I'd rather not pay for a product that is broken no matter how amazing the story might be. I play melee classes and the combo actions are still flat and dull as if they're being performed wrong.
I cancelled my sub too, I used to love playing FFXIV and was really a die hard fan of it, but with this bug the game is just impossible to enjoy, my experience is really ruined :/
They have been saying this for years. I just cancelled my sub cause after the 6.01 patch I caught the DX11 issues that's plagued the game for years now. The game is literally unplayable for me and many others and SE just doesn't care.
I have also canceled my sub. I can't do any endgame raiding. Once the audio starts crackling, then it's 5fps.
I canceled my sub and looked into getting a refund for my remaining sub time. I stressed that the benchmark led me to believe that I would be able to play, making it a case of false advertising. This is the first official confirmation we've had that the issue is being looked into in weeks. This is NOT sufficient to make this right, but it's a remarkable change in tone from Square Enix given that they've mostly been blaming our hardware for the past month.
Even if you're unsubbing, be sure to leave a bug report and check this thread for other things you can do to make Square aware of the problem: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...answer-from-SE
