Adding content when your servers can't handle the load

THey are working on the congestion they have servers on order to add more but the shortage is making it difficult to get them. They wont stop with the updates though, it is what keeps people playing.

What's odd about this thread is that they fail to realize delaying the content would not affect the acquisition of additional server equipment. No one can just wave their hand and expect it to magically appear in their hands. The chip and silicone shortages are affecting every tech dependent business on the planet. I literally just bought an ipad for example, and I was extremely limited on the colors. I ended up just going with pink, because that's all they have. They are sold out almost everywhere.

Same with certain models of cars, graphics cards, and phones. These things are flying off the shelves, because they are popular items, and they are used by multitudes of people for both pleasure, and business. It's not going to change any time soon. However, no matter how much we educate people on this, the same threads just keep popping up time and time again. It's an extremely exhausting situation.

Theres a development cycle the devs have already decided on well before the release of Endwalker. Yes I understand your frustrations but what? you expect the game to just stop?

They can't just stop releasing content for the game. This presumably isn't a situation that is fixable on Squeenix's side right now, unless the upcoming announcement is about more than the AUS datacenter.

And I think there's a bit of an exaggeration going on. Queues still kinda suck, but with patience you can get in at this point. And if you genuinely do not have time to wait for an hour to log in because of work/kids/whatever, you also likely don't have the time to seriously attempt savage since that takes hours of time on it's own.

Yes, it's a game we're all paying subscription costs for, but it's a game none the less.

I understand your frustration, but the dev team has been consistently doing everything within their power to both continue the development of the product for the people who can play, and keep working on getting updates on new server hardware to get those that can't play, in.

Content patches shouldn't have their schedules altered any further than they already have been. No one will be missing out. The beauty of FFXIV is you'll jump right back in and catch up mechanics will be sitting there waiting for you, to be able to jump into the current tier ASAP, as well as retroactively getting your clears on the previous tier.

The game will still be here when you CAN play. Until then, just try and relax. Don't let a video game get you that upset. If you have to, unsub to save yourself the money while you wait, or until your schedule can permit you the time to play at non-peak hours.

Not sure how delaying the expansion would suddenly make them have access to servers they can't purchase.
