The OP is spot-on.
The only people who like the forum are the same dozen-or-so people who immediately shoot down every opinion that isn't liked by them and thus the echo chamber continues.

This is true. For you too even. The forums have people that frequent a lot so you notice the same names constantly. those people have certain beliefs and visions. Doesn’t mean they are an echo chamber. The echo chamber only starts when you don’t allow those who think differently than you to have a voice.
