We need more GMs in the forums.

Have you tried not taking everything you read on the internet so seriously? I've been doing it for like... well actually, since I started using the internet. And I must say, it's done nothing but wonders for me!

Definitely give it a try. While you're at it, perhaps learn not to be offended by minor things that can easily be ignored? It might even apply to real-life situations as well!

Yeah, I'm sure there are enough GM's here, heck, I got some of my posts removed (A sailor is well behaved compared to me). So yeah, I think when things really start to escalate, they step in.

I'm not sure if this is the case, or if they actually have trouble with some of the more heated topics that are affecting the internet today. I wonder if more GMs would help, or if they need more training with certain topics.

Nah, they let people speak, no matter the opinion, they step in when it derails totally and comes to name calling and such.
I have experience as a GM/FM (we are talking 6+ years ago and on a different and un-named game) and its for me the line always was, name calling, slurs and direct insults, but its not easy to draw the line.

Let me state first this : I'm not a qualified GM, that's way too long ago to even count. I cannot speak for the GM's in this Forum and this game, at the end of the day, they are humans with their own views on topics and issues and thus one GM can deviate from another.

So all I can speak is my past experience, not for GM"s here.

The Hardest line to draw for me personally, was when people were bringing in real life issues into the fantasy world and via-versa. As much you love the game, its not reality and as much you love reality, its not the game and people need to learn this. Topics from real life can be discussed, but it will always end up a mess.

There's even threads where people on other forums talk about who to bash, doxx, and brigade here. They are actively targeting people that some do not agree with, and creating issues.

asking because it's been multiple times that you've said it now, along with things like that people from the forums stalked and harassed you
which I doubt, tbh, but if it happened, their behaviour obviously having been horrible and that you've hopefully reported them

THIS is another reason things need to be done. I have asked, reported, and even suggested several times that I DO NOT want to be in someones signature, but there I am.
