You've clearly never been on the WoW forums if you think these forums are toxic
You've clearly never been on the WoW forums if you think these forums are toxic
Doesn't mean we shouldn't do some clean up to prevent us from getting there. And yes, I have been there. I used to play WoW, but I quit due to the controversy. I don't support the harassment and assault of human beings.
Kek brother I hope you never discover 4chan. We already have enough hug boxes on the internet, and this place is much tamer than most. Stop trying to make everything you don't like conform to your narrow world view.
These things you proclaim to be easy are, unfortunately, subjectively different for each human being. While it may be easy for you to ignore communication from other human beings on the internet, it's not easy for all people. For some it is decidedly hard.Have you tried not taking everything you read on the internet so seriously? I've been doing it for like... well actually, since I started using the internet. And I must say, it's done nothing but wonders for me!
Definitely give it a try. While you're at it, perhaps learn not to be offended by minor things that can easily be ignored? It might even apply to real-life situations as well!
Also, again, "being offended" by something is a result of brain impulses that vary wildly from person to person. When you drop an idea on thousands of folks at once, someone might find it offensive. So be it. You and the person who takes offense are equals; your brain and thoughts aren't any "better" than theirs.
Further, "Just do this and that and such and such as you'll be as happy as me," doesn't really work in the real world, at all. That should be obvious to anyone observing what is going on here on Earth.
If you can take 100 people and find 25 that don't really like chocolate cake, how the hell does one drop something as complicated as behavioral change advice on a public forum on the internet and expect it to automatically apply to the random person they don't even know.
You do realize that other humans vary from being somewhat different than yourself, to being drastically different from yourself, right? I mean, you clearly think you have the whole thing figured out, and maybe you do, but that's a solution for you personally, in your own head. Other human brains may or may not find your sage advice to be applicable.
And yeah, do pay close attention, because you are correct - these things do apply in real life as well. If you think everyone is the same (as you) inside of their heads, you're sorely mistaken. Drastically, sorely mistaken. When you look at the homeless guy and say, "just get up and get a job," that doesn't really do anything positive at all.
Likewise, when you tell random humans "not to be offended" by such-and-such, it's nonsense. What makes your ideas and morals the end-all-be-all of what is and isn't offensive?

I give up with you people. Forum community is absolutely unhinged. Imagine joining my alt's FC just to wait for me to come online to harass me lmao.
Only "toxicity" I see is when ffxiv fanboys get mad cause some people actually DONT like ffxiv.
There is some good posts among the bad ones. Just don’t read or reply to those so they sink to the abyss.
Every game's official forums are a hellscape of bad opinions and worse shitposts.
How do you threaten someone here? What's he going to do, glare at his screen?I didn't wanna bring it up in an earlier post but lol, lmao even
the OP tried to threaten another poster into silence with vague threats on this forum when they talked about having a bad experience with a manipulative FC
I'd still love to see proof of people of people congregating on other forums/sites where they pick target on here to harass and doxx, I'll gladly eat my words
Too many of you follow him around being outraged at his outrage. Just ignore him if you hate his takes.
And it may not be favorable that he's the one bringing it up, but he isnt wrong to ask where the GM presence is. There have been quite a few risky posts lately, even with blatant full letter Fbomb cursing. So yes, it's normal to wonder when they're going to step in more. Even if his reasons for asking are purely selfish, the question in itself still stands and is still valid. Too many people respond to everything with emotional backstories-I'm sorry about whatever little FC that had some little problem...it's irrelevant to this question so. It's not hard to look at things objectively even if you dislike someone, idk why so many struggle with that. A broken clock is right twice a day-whether you like it or not, the worst person you know sometimes makes a great point.
If he's a troll, then he's a successful one because look at how many responses he gets. He posts for attention and people show right up to give it to him, right on time. Just like that roe and that lala who post bait threads too. If people are angry at trolls for trolling then they're angry at the wrong targets. Ah right, speaking of platters; ff14forums_txt although that ones harmless aaand there was a person who had an entire kiwi thread about them too. So it does happen. but not enough to be worried about.
Everyone expects 4chan to be lawless, just as they expect Twitter to be offended and Reddit to make everything into 47 memes. Official forums shouldnt be lawless because it looks bad to potential future customers. 'well potential future customers should get thicker skin!!' and someone should run a business with that exact mindset and then come back to me so I can assist them with their EDD forms.
