I support Square Enix for a quality game and that they do well. Thats why I am with them for over 20 years from XI days. But I am disappointed to hear the same story for every release. Unanticipated User Load. We all know this will happen and they should plan for extra servers early and then reduce them as time goes rather than wait for the problem and then add and then again remove later. I was good to play during the holidays but now I cant even play. I have 2 hours to play and spend 1.5 hours in a queue of 2000+ just to login. Zero value to me right now as I have a job. Great for those that can wait all day... I understand chip shortage. I am just saying this needs to get pre-planned better with the next release. I hope that read this and just plan extra server way up front and drop what you dont need. They have made leaps and bound progress from the XI days when updates would take days to download versus now which is minutes for most without any server download congestion.

though you are correct it is disapointing, but exactly how many inactive accounts should they expect to reactivate on launch day? and in this case they could not have known far enough ahead to start getting the equipment together. This has happened on most major mmo's when they were in their prime: Everquest, CoV/CoH, WoW, Everquest 2, STWOR and many more. hell look at new world and it's launch woes. SWTOR had anticipated for many people and wasn't bad on launch but they did not anticipate on retiring servers so quickly. I digress because we're talking about expansions not full launch. anyways, I too want to see what they do and have been able to work in the time they have had for it.I support Square Enix for a quality game and that they do well. Freki -- Wolf of the Night!
I wish they can at least open server transfers and I believe it will help a bit with queue time for people move less populated server (but of course if all servers is overflow is another story).
The last statement was that this patch would be used to bring servers online. The queues are now double over where they were prepatch. This is clearly not the case.
When I saw 3000 in the queue, my response was to simply switch it off. How many others do you think did exactly the same thing. There is a fair chance that the queue would have been double had all been stubborn about it. If flexibility is this much of an issue, then at the very least, SE should be telling people at the point of payment that this may not be functional. Every person paying a sub has an expectation to play.though you are correct it is disapointing, but exactly how many inactive accounts should they expect to reactivate on launch day? and in this case they could not have known far enough ahead to start getting the equipment together. Refunds on subscriptions are not an option, I tried. Suspending your account until the servers are sorted is also not an option. Transfers to balance server loads have never been mentioned.
At this moment in time I am pretty annoyed with myself for paying for this game.
Doubt they actually do. It's already slowing down as it usually does.
Please show the statement where they EXACTLY said that they will bring new servers online with the .05 patch. Also, you are not paying for this game at the moment.

Yeah you are right he didn't actually submit a date. It still doesn't justify giving nothing/sub-acceptable in return for a subscription or a paid for game. I get that there is world issues. I also get they are unsolvable.Setting aside game content, the large influx of players around the world since mid-year and the impact of Covid-19 on the supply of server equipment have led to extremely long login queues, and I'd like to sincerely apologize again. We're currently working to fundamentally address the situation, such as adding logical data centers and increasing the number of Worlds in all regions, and we ask for your patience in the meantime.
I do not get why they will not return the cash since they clearly cannot provide the service.
I have -£76.13 on my bank statement that disagrees with this.
Not sure this belongs in Tech Support.
