Dnc should got more support skills. Something like party hp regen and mp regen skills.

New Improvisation gives you a party regen. Also MP regen would be a bit overkill since only WHM really suffers from MP problems. The other three are MP positive or MP neutral. Now if they were to make mana management an actual mechanic on healers again, then I’d get behind this.

More glamour options are always nice. Currently, there’s not that many for DNC that don’t just look strange or questionable. Nothing wrong with asking for more options.

I only really have about 3 or 4 I use. And my TEA weapon I actually really hate the model for. But I want to put my blood, sweat, and tears to use.

I like dancer, I think its fun. I have a couple weapons I like and goes with the glams I use for dancer. I also dont care where my damage is because the job is fun.

I play to enjoy myself, I realize some have to be top of teh DPS pile and they'll move on to something else, but me, jobs change, dnc is no exception so will always be a fave after healer until they make it unfun for me.

As fun as it is, it is also very feelsbadman to feel like you’re a constant burden to the party because you literally can’t push out more damage, and DNC’s rDPS gains aren’t enough to raise it much higher. Prior to the physical ranged buff before Eden’s Gate, all three were so weak that there were talks of dropping the role entirely. I’m not asking to be SAM-levels of damage; but I don’t think DNC’s support aspects warrant its personal damage to be so low. “Fun” or not, it’s not fun to feel like you’re a burden to the group because your damage is so low.

(And it’s even worse synced down—main reason I didn’t play DNC in UCoB aside from the lack of Flourish and Esprit gain was because it was quite normal to get out damaged by the tanks in certain parts of the fight. I’m not a top DNC, but I think I was fairly skilled at the job last expac.)

The things is that the job is barely even functional in this state and the downtime between when you cant use your feathers is so long that you just spam basic attacks most of the time.

Eh, I hope the number of other dancers goes down - nothing feels worse than being put into a party with another dancer.
Whether its the technical steps overwriting each other, the dramatically lower overall dps, or simply having the argument for the 9001st time that Dancer Partner does SO stack between two dancers, that's why the icons are different, dammit ... it's just the worst.

We could certainly use a buff and less RNG reliance. While our extra procs with Flourish and Devilment help our burst window be less busy, we also lost 2 feather chances without the AoE procs from Flourish, meaning there's a higher chance that we'll do our first Technical window with NO oGCDs except Fan Dance III and IV. Having our skills directly give Esprit was a good step, but our potencies are pretty low as is making DNC too reliant on RNG to do halfway decent RNG.

And the "buff" we got in 6.05 wasn't so much a buff for US as it was for other DPS like RPR and MNK who can now further benefit from our Dances (not that it was a BAD buff, it'd be disappointing if Brotherhood and Arcane Circle couldn't benefit from the around-5s it takes us to Dance). Overall, I'm thankful my static has a SAM and RPR, they can carry my low DPS...

This is why I choose gunbreaker last expac and this one. I only got buffs and fast que times. My dancer is sadly sitting there collecting dust, so my monk, sam, whm, astro... well shit. >.>
