Once again.

Legitimate Leveling progression and PLing cannot co-habitate. They are mutually exclusive. The option to cheat or not is no option at all. If you can bypass 80% of the leveling process then you are destroying any sense of accomplishment for those who do it right. Lower the overall amount of people available for PT's. Steal opportunities for players to form bonds with friends. Put a heavy load of capped players on the back end so the Dev's are forced to keep hot footing raids to keep everyone busy (See: Primals). Breed bad players and don't give them a chance to improve naturally. Screw over the mid-tier economy. Break down individualism of Player's job choice. Promote elitism and strict event job sets (If you can get Blm up in a week then you have to have it for this fight.)

Worst of all, you make the game look badly designed and this turns new players off. At least 2 dozen times have I had to 'break the news' so to speak with a shell-less newbie out at Horizon while we leve linked. Their first "party" btw because no one is at all interested in forming groups until 25 so these guys are just left in the wind solo grinding for the first 6 days 8 leves at a time. Not exactly the TEAM-ORIENTATED and REWARDING atmosphere new FFXI's were introduced to but beside the point. During our little grinds they ask questions and as much as I'd like to soft ball the answers I don't. I won't lie to them. I have to explain how PLing has run rampant and finding a traditional EXP party is a bit more work then he might be up for by himself. Completely new and unaware of where to level, jobs, ect. How Job discrimination means their choice of Drg is going to make life rough on the back end when they want to do things like CC. (A byproduct of everyone hitting cap faster then most people fall off new diets) It is basically saying to these new players, "Our game is broken and the devs are too lazy or incompetent to fix it so everyone cheats. You'll have to cheat too or face extreme hurdles in your leveling journey. At the end of the game the only things to do are endlessly grind for weapons on the same 6 events. Welcome to FFXIV."
