yes... most players are happy with this game... that's exactly why they merged the servers. So that more people could enjoy the game together!Dear god Azurys trolling again...
Oh well here we go.
1. If a game exits, theres usually a way to powerlevel in it. if powerlevelling exists, it always will in one form or another. So come 2.0 when a whole bunch of new players join the game, they can either level legitematly (which doesnt even take that long anymore) or they too can get powerlevellied.
2. A games economy is subject to the rarity of sellable items and the amount said item is used. Come 2.0 i'm sure there will be other items that will sell for stupid amounts of gil and be able to be obtained by practically anyone who puts time in. For example right now the best gear in the game is still melded gear, so lets say in 2.0 you theres new gear sets, like Adamantine Armor. This is likely to require Adamantine ores ingots etc and therefor opens a whole new market for any minor and or crafter.
3. Gear constantly rotates. Usually new gear is better or equal to its pre-existing counterparts. Yes people may complain that they cant get an ifrits harpoon, or a morbid mog blade. but lets face it, the AF weapons are likely to be better than it. We have o idea what exactly we need to do to get them yet but even so. As stated above Melded gear is still the better gear so I would venture a guess at saying a double or triple melded Champion lance or hart guisarme would be better than Ifrits harpoon. yes double and triple melds are tougher to to make but fact is thier becoming increasingly more available.
4. You say people with underdeveloped gear wont be able to get better gear due to everyone already having everything. We have already seen SE re-use the instanced dungeons as a method of obtining company seals and at that point the players who had all thier dungeon gear were going for the gear for seals, but others could get thier gear and use it if they so wished.
6. Finally game exploits, yes they exist, yes people abuse them. SE quite frankly has more important things to do than ban everyone who exploited garuda right now. Thoe people who did exploit garuda have a strat that no longer works now anyway so although some people have all the weapons the majority still dont. SE is probably more concerned with making 2.0 a success, maybe in 2.0 they will start banning people who exploit the games glitches. From a development point of view getting thier game running properly vastly outweighs a few people having all the garuda weapons.
I think Azury your going to be one of those people who is never satisfied, fact is most players are happy wth the game and those that see issues post constructive criticisms on the forums. You however always see a negative in everything so youll never be happy.

thats kind of my point. imo the levelling process should be more educational not just an obstacle. it should teach your tanks how to hold hate. should teach your healers how to defeeble or keep party alive. sure its easy to say low hp = cast cure how hard can it be. but it's suprising how many people suck at it. part of the problem comes that stuff in exp parties dies so fast that tactics or strategy isnt an issue. oh the thm has hate. never mind it'll be dead in 2 seconds..Grinding doesn't teach you to run endgame content >_> because its not designed that way. At best it teaches you how to string combos together, but any idiot can learn that within 20 mins. The problem isnt how long it takes, the problem is the lack of quality and lack of content. And by quality, I mean difficulty that would actually prepare someone for endgame content. Even mini ifrit and mini garuda require no actual strategy. It is utterly pointless to increase the exp curve unless they add meaningful content. Making it take longer just for the hell of it is just lame. There needs to be something there first to justify it, otherwise its just a time-sink and a grindfest.
the levelling process should be structured in such a way that it prepares you for the end of the game stuff, not just be a hinderence to it
the premise of the original post is false.
the game does not CATER to exploits or cheats.
OP claiming that the existence of something means that the game caters to it. i guess next the game is catering to NAMBLA and other pedophiles because Lalafell exist.
OP is just looking for some notoriety because they are not a good enough player to get noticed legitimately.
all my guides combined have gotten over 100k views... so i don't really need notoriety....the premise of the original post is false.

kdone.
Thing OP and other people don't seem to grasp; Every MMO has this problem:
- Players will always do things the easiest/quickest/most efficient way possible.
- Some players will create bots or download bots to do tasks they don't wish to do but want profit for.
- Some players will purchase turbo controllers or keyboards with macro programs.
Every MMO has these issues -period-
But you know! It's clearly SE's fault that turbo controllers and macro enhanced keyboards are on the market, or that it's in people's nature to do whatever it takes to get ahead of the game. They also totally botched the code on Garuda on purpose just so everyone could take advantage of it during golden week.
Yep, totally catering to cheaters and the like.

Why don't they ban people who stand in the same spot fish-botting for a week straight 24/7?
Point is, they often managed to deal with bots in ffxi. so why can't they here?
