What other means? Like actually gathering? I can easily get into top 20 on hamlet and that was before it was split in 3! I didn't even have to gather all day. I just went out and gathered.Yep you didn't think about it.
Regular players can't make progress turning in items to hamlets to get spots in top 20, or sell items at decent prices and run a regular economy if other players are using bots and other means that make it impossible to even compete. An MMO economy spirals out of control.
"RMT doesn't hurt anyone!"
In 1 hour you can get about 50k in mats and that's at Grade IV. Give me a break.

i think you mean 50k, not 500k, which is still enough to get into top 20, or close to it depending on how many people feel like doing turn ins at any given cycleWhat other means? Like actually gathering? I can easily get into top 20 on hamlet and that was before it was split in 3! I didn't even have to gather all day. I just went out and gathered.

but yeah, hamlet is easy to get into top 20 as a gatherer in very little time invested

When i joined XI 6 years late i couldn't buy the most expensive gear and the shit was expensive or do any EG stuff...I didn't cry about it. I buckled down and got my Lvls up. Why do you think that ppl in 2.0 should not have to do the same 2 years later. That's the price you pay for not being a pioneer so that argument is just full of hot air my friend..

me likey

OP you cant stop botting at all, you can try but end of day it is a pointless battle, there is always ways around it. That isnt SE's Fault, its the players who want to bot. All SE can do is ban, which they dont (imo).
As for new players, you are completely right, I had some friends rejoin for this free trial and unless I pl them to 50 they cant do shit, because everything requires a specific job, a specific set of gear (like full AF), and of course 8 people. I mean SE said "Come back and experience a once in a life time Umbral Event", i've yet to see this event that new/returning players can enjoy because right now its the same boring bullshit imperial attack that we had last patch, and requires a fair amount of people to even participate in, so no SE you cant experience it! And you have to be 50, so just promotes PLing.
SE have done nothing to help the new or low level player so far hah.
Why you serious about ppl getting all 50 in 2.0? Because no matter they using your mentioned exploit or not, they will be all 50 in no time.
DoH : rest exp + eng manual + HQ craft can get you to 50 in few weeks.
DoL : grind leve + survival manual + rest exp can get you to 50 in few weeks.
DoW/M : most of ppl love pl, and if some high level willing to PL, it's no problem. The goal of playing game is to get max level isn't it?
Item and market price : you blame only bot for cutting the price...I think everyone can cut the price not only for botters. And I still find myself able to make some profit out of market everyday, just buy mats, craft and sell it. Btw, if the item price is low I think most of ppl will be glad.
OP topic is full of selfish mind and just bias with other ppl that better than him.
If you hate this game enough, play TERA
Botters are people too, my friend!
Yes, 50k unless you HQ everything. ^^

Seems a lil suspect that you know very well all the many various ways
ppl exploit/cheat.
All I'm saying is i have 47mil and I don't use 1gil from it unless i need arrows just because the economy is so [InsertFbomb] unstable.
