This is exactly what I remember as well. I'm not sure what people are talking about. Perhaps it was different on other servers..

Well, both FFXIV and FFXI(prime time) give ridiculous conditions that make the community more angry than happy. Where else to take that anger than the official forums?

If anyone remembers, back when coblyns were legit exp gains, the SP system was still not working correctly. Later SE increased thier HP anyway. As for Garuda, like i said before, people wh BLM burned it now have to learn a new strategy, and those who didnt can say 'I didnt use the Garuda Exploit.'
Botters arent affecting me, its still pretty easy to make money as people constantly need mats, which i dont mind putting time into getting. At the end of it, when i get a peice of gear I feel a sense of acheivement, something people who do exploit dont really get.
really if its not directly affecting you who cares? It seems that people forget that FFXI had its share of exploits, which if were going to talk about PLing I think i'll just say Summoner Burn. SE was perfectly ok with people doing those to gain exp that way, I remember some people levelling a job from 1-75 in a summoner burn party. That Azury is an exploit, 1 player, 1 shotting 1 coblyn to gain exp. Sorry, not an Exploit. The game is set up so mobs die and give exp based on thier level, which, back then is what was happening, SE made a mistake by making a lvl 46 mob have incredibly low hp and they changed it.
Actually I'm glad we have botters keeping prices down.If anyone remembers, back when coblyns were legit exp gains, the SP system was still not working correctly. Later SE increased thier HP anyway. Ingots are 250k +1!!!! Imagine if we didn't have them. Anyone want ingot 1mil?
No thanks.
So be glad we have farmers to keep prices decent whinnies.
be more specific, which ingots
if you mean the new ones(darksteel and rose gold) then theres a huge reason behind it, its cuz the vendors sell 1 of the items, which you cant farm, for like 100k

Doesnt that price come down if you raise the Hamlet limit or am I thinking of animal fat and other items entirely?

I go with community attitude on this one...
An MMO is only as good as the people within the world.
I was kind of glad there was an exploit for Garuda because people wouldn't shut up about "MUST GET ALL ITEMS!" >.> at least then it passed over quickly and I could get some pickup pts for quests
I agree the game has it's exploits, and every game forever and a day will have that same issue.
I feel the question that really needs to be asked is: why do people continue to use the exploits?
My 2, or 5 cents...
