    Gear repair

    Hi SE Devs and Yoshi-P

Just putting a suggestion here to remove repairing gear feature. Repair gear is a waste of time and I think its redundant now, by removing gear repair, you will be creating more inventory space as dark matter will no longer be necessary, many times people forget to repair their gear and they go into a raid and then the group will have to leave the raid just so someone can fix their gear. It doesn't seem like much but all the times a player has to repair their gear stacks up and a lot of wasted time spent. So yeah, if repair feature is removed and make gear condition/durability doesn't degrade would be awesome.

    Thanks.

They'll never do it because it's one of the bigger gil sinks.

They could make it less inconvenient for people that don't have crafters leveled, but it's come up several times and they've never acted on it, and further, for some reason a significant portion of the community thinks it should be this weirdly punishing thing where if someone forgets they should have to abandon this instance or whatever.

No, thanks. The only reason I keep my crafters leveled is for fast and easy gear repairs. Dark Matter doesn’t even take up that much inventory space since you can hold 1 stack of 999 Dark Matter at a time. Which is plenty to last for quite a while, even for frequent play.

Its one of the few ways to delete gil from the game....so no it doesn't need to go.

Like everyone else said, it's a necessary gil sink. No one likes having to repair but the annoyance factor is minimal and it serves an important function.

Add a mobile repair unit that can be deployed in an instance.

Necessary gil sink? it cost around 1k gil to fix all. You guys really think its a gil sink? a gil sink is when SE releases a mount that cost 25m and 50m gil. Now that's a real gil sink. Not repairing gear.

People will still lvl crafter to 90 regardless of fixing or not. Lvling to 90 or max lvl can pentameld or self meld gear. Having it so you can quick repair? nah, no thanks. lol

Believe it or not, the smaller costs of repairs, teleports, market tax, and so on add up. It seems small to the individual (and this is a good thing), but having these little bleeds to counter gil that's generated out of thin air is important.

Punishing people that forget to repair isn't important but, hey, as the post right below my first shows, a good chunk of people like it that way for some reason.
