Please fix the “naked queueing” for Aliance Raids

By people doing this, they are in increasing the queue times for later raids for new players, directly making the experience worse. They are also EXPLOITING an unintended loop hole in the game mechanics. PLEASE fix this. I’m so tired of getting Labyrinth and then seeing selfish people on chat smugly saying “it worked!”

    How is it "selfish"?

How is it not selfish to exploit an unintended effect of ilvl in order to get into a single raid out of 12 possible ones, directly causing the queue times for the other 11 raids to increase for new players attempting to complete them, and also increasing the chance that other players have to run the most boring raid in the game? Don’t tell me, you’re also one of these exploiters?

Regardless of how many people do this, it directly affects the game experience for new and old players alike and should be fixed immediately.

It is not my civic duty to reduce queue times. I raid Labyrinth because I want to and because it has faster completion and queue times. It's all perfectly logical to do so. I even completed my Ninja glam doing so when leveling up my alts, took me about 40 runs to accomplish it.

Single queuing for a raid to get a glam is NOT the same thing as exploiting the ilvl requirement for the ROULETTE to get into a raid so you get your rewards faster.

I am confused what the actual problem is?

I don't know how many times I've had to say this, but no, it doesn't have that great an effect.

The lower level Alliance Raids are already far more likely to trigger due to the fact that lower level characters are more likely to queue for them, as Alliance roulette gives one of the best EXP rewards. Add to this the fact that players are more likely to have unlocked the lower level ones over the higher level ones.

If in any instance, you have just one player out of 24 who is below level 60, then it doesn't matter if any players queued 'naked' you were always going to get that raid.

Lets say for example, the chances of queuing into an specific raids were as follows: CT: 80%, Mhach: 10%, Ivalice: 7%, Nier: 3%.
If they managed to disable this ability to queue in below ilvl, then it would probably end up being: CT: 75%, Mhach: 12%, Ivalice: 9%, Nier: 4%.
So it's probably not worth the effort to find a work around.

If they did want to prevent it, then they would need to make the Roulette have the same minimum ilvl as the highest Alliance Raid currently unlocked, and then moderate that based on the characters current job level.
For example, if you had unlocked all the raids up to Ridoranna Lighthouse, then Alliance Raid Roulette would have a min ilvl of 335, but if you then swapped to a job that was level 59, the min ilvl would have to change to 90.
That's two dimensions of dynamic requirement adjustments, when no other queue option has anything but a single static requirement.

For everyone still trying to work out convoluted methods for prevent 'ilvl cheese' that will never be easy enough for SE to actually implement:

People are so hung up on this alliance raid ilvl cheese thing, but it has barely any measurable effect.
You are still going to get Crystal Tower most of the time, enough that it will still "feel like" you're getting it all of the time.

So as an anecdote, last night while doing other stuff I tried to queue as healer for literally any of the Mhach alliance raids; all three were ticked, so it would put me in any of them.

I was still waiting 2.5 hours later when I withdrew, logged out, and went to bed.

Now, granted, I started this experiment relatively late at night (starting at like 9:30pm-ish Pacific), which probably didn't help. But I had friends queue for alliance multiple times and get Crystal Tower during that 2.5 hour window, so demonstrably people were in queues. If I had been trying to do the Mhach raids because I needed them for my storyline rather than as an experiment, I would've been a very sad panda.

I dunno if it's because people ilevel cheese, or never unlock the later raids, or because people just really like Crystal Tower and queue for it specifically rather than roulette, or something else entirely... but I'd argue that regardless of what the solution is, if roulettes are meant to funnel players into duties that need players, then in this case they were not working.

This isn't really true. People queue at 80 pretty frequently to get tomes. CT is absurdly over represented, far more than it should be simply base don how many people are between 50-59. You can go weeks without seeing anything else while people sit in queues for the other raids for *hours* without them popping.

It's a serious problem, and was getting much worse even before the patch that made CT mandatory. It's not an issue when we have an influx of first timers triggering it, that's to be expected. But when the people cheesing it are exacerbating the problem by forcing more groups down to that level when the otherwise would have qualified for something else, it causes real problems for people trying to get the other raids done.
